My First Competition :)

It’s taken me a few days to collect my thoughts about the day this past Saturday. First of all, I want to thank so many of you here for helping me get there. It was very overwhelming and I had no idea what to expect . The few days before the show were pretty exciting. I hardly had to cut any food or water …which I thankyou Jason
The carb load was kinda scary for me. I literally could barely bend my leg because my muscles swelled so much. But that was Thursday..phew…. it went away somewhat….. The tanning process was a faux pas on my part. I had a reaction from the tanner…not sure why but it had to do with shaving I guess (which I did 2 days previous to applying). The other thing was that I had been using a very strong anti-perspir. and didn’t exfoliate well enough . I had green underarms for the show! Ha ha….
The morning of the show, I was in awe of the whole place. The promoter of the OCB Midwest States did a remarkable job with everything. So we had a competitor meeting, and then headed to the prep room. My husband and I were kind of watching everyone else to figure out what to do… The morning show went by so fast! I had prepared my T-walk to one of my fav Coldplay songs "Lost". It wasn’t played in the morning show, we walked to house music. That was fine except I completely forgot my little routine! I was shaking so badly…I wish I could control that more. So back in the pump up room…I spent most of my time taking it all in. I was amazed by Team Norton…the entire group was in one area and they looked incredible! I was lucky enough to meet Layne and Isabel . They are great people! Layne is behind me here in one of the pics here . The other pic was the tall class of Novice awards.
As a matter of fact, Team Norton won an award at the show…congrats! All around me…there were so many dedicated people..I was humbled to be a part of the show. It re-motivated me for sure. As for being on stage in the group walks and posing, I was so nervous, I can’t actually remember much of it! Funny how the brain blocks out certain memories…guess I have to hope some of it comes back.
My husband was wonderful as my coach…thankyou sweetheart! I couldn’t have done it without your love and support! He enjoyed the experience as much as I did. We look forward to trying it all again someday, it was a special day for sure!!
Last ,but certainly not least….thankyou Jason Phillips for believing in me. I threw this competition at you with very little time for you to change my physique very much. It was a proud moment when your name was announced as my trainer. I kinda teared up for a moment. As our team develops and grows, I look forward to watching others set goals and chase their dreams. Hopefully I can reciprocate all the support you guys and gals have given me. Thankyou Team JP FIT!!!!
