My Vacation
Two weeks camping in northern Wisconsin did alot for me. I actually took the time to listen to the loons. Overall, it was a wonderful family adventure. We met some family and friends up there. This had it’s good and bad points. Lots of talk, lots of fun and lots of food. The first week I was an angel…my husband drove me an hour each way to the gym. I got in all my workouts. My diet stayed right on track despite the bags of chips everywhere. The second week, I had a few ice creams ( sorry Jason )…..I don’t know why I craved it so badly! It’s usually not an issue at home. Once again, my husband got my butt to the gym and waited for me every workout day. It seemed like I was grilling constantly! Eating 6 times a day is tough for me. It’s really tough to cook chicken in the dark because the bugs are so bad you can’t have any lights on!! So we swam in the lake, hunted for musky and went to the go cart track alot. I didn’t do so well sitting and relaxing. I think I got on everyone’s nerves because I wasn’t smiling much. I kinda go stir crazy easily…I have such a routine at home like everyone does. I was also VERY tired. I am having a tough time recuperating after the tough workouts. I am not complaining…..I just know my husband wants his "old wife" back! I am not even cutting carbs yet, I hope I don’t become too much of a witch!! My husband is definitely the best friend I have ever had…he so tries to make me happy everyday! The best part of the trip was hanging out with my children. It amazes me how fast they grow! Hey and my son told me my back is looking like a bulldozer…..he noticed!!!

so cool that your husband can be supportive. mine is pretty good, but he did admit i make him a little nuts when we were talking about our beach trip in a couple weeks and i kept saying, "but you are still going to drive me to the gym in the mornings right!" hehe. i always say vacations are a time when you have LESS excuses about working out… this is YOUR time! but hey, rock on to you staying on diet track while you were gone… that’s my vaca struggle! i’m a stir crazy one like you… always good to get back to the home routine!

Sounds like you’re doing really well. Just keep it up one day at a time.

Totally with you on the routine and stir-crazy comments, Sudsy! DK how I am going to keep myself busy this 3-day, I’ve really started getting into a groove the last few days. Glad to hear you enjoyed time with your family and had some ice-cream to boot! What good is being healthy if you can’t enjoy it once in a while?

Amy, great job on staying relatively clean and doing your workouts!! ANd Yes, your latest back shot looks great!! yay!!!
Had to laugh about going stir crazy. I find it hard to sit and relax, but it is so important to enjoy that time with the kids…I still can not believe that my youngest is going off to kindergarten tomorrow… wow!! where did the time go?? and my oldest just got her first bra…caught her putting it on this morn and wanted to cry….

Soounded like lots of fun and you stayed on track with diet and working out. A great support system always helps.
