Friday Fluff
Ok, so I know it’s Saturday morning, Friday was a bunch of home stuff, drs appts and blah, blah, blah . . .
It’s been over a month since I have written anything, well life happens I guess. Juls told me about this defluffing and it is certainly for me. The part I’m struggling with most is the goals, certainly I want to "defluff", but specific numbers are hard for me. When I first started training I was obsessed with the numbers, my weight, my measurements, my trainer told me to focus on how I felt and how my clothes felt on me. As in a previous blog, he and Juls stole my scale. My trainer has worked hard to break me of that obsession. I am back into my smaller jeans but I have actually gained some weight, is it muscle? I always struggle with that statement. I just don;t know what realistic number goals are, so I will give it my best shot . . .
My goals for defluffing
- Eat clean for 6 weeks, no excuses or justifying why it’s OK to eat something not on my plan
- Step up my cardio, at least stick to it 6 days/week 1x/day at the minimum and then increase it to 2x/day on non-weight training days
- Lose 5 pounds (this is were I struggle, is this realistic)
- Lose 1″ from my belly, hips, waist, butt, yes the whole FLUFF area (is 1″ from each area unrealistic?)
- Keep a positive attitude
- Be supportive to the other Fabulous Fluffers who have taken on this challenge
My current stats
- Weight
- Measurement at belly button
I will start with these two, I will update this blog with numbers shortly (I don’t have a scale, thanks Jul) and I will have my husband take the measurement for fear I will move the tape measurement each week in hopes of a change.
My before pic

I have added this pic to my progress pics as well, it seems I see changes in my legs??? Maybe smoother looking??? Could the fat really be leaving my legs??? Maybe a little hamstring curve??? I have to put my last progress pic and this one side by side, I will work on that!
To all the fabulous fluffers that have taken on this challenge, best of luck with all your personal goals, eat clean, be well and most of all be kind to yourselves!

Good luck to you!!! I’m in week 1 of an 8/12 countdown. (8 until my 40th, 12 until my first competition).
I want to keep focusing on the weight but it’s really about the body fat and muscle- stay in touch to let us know how it goes!

I am soooo glad to see you in this challenge and super excited to see what you have been doing this last month! I just have to say OH MY GOODNESS!!! What amazing progress you’ve made!!! You’ve worked so hard already and achieved so much! I can’t say if your goals are right or not–I pm’d Juls to get her insight! LOL But whatever we do, however we do it, we are going to make great gains and support each other along the way–soooo glad you’re with us!!! Go Fluffers!!!

Amy, it’s so awesome to ‘hear’ from you again - you were greatly missed!!! And I know this is about the midsection fluff, but YES, I can see hammies (cute blue toe nail polish, too
)!! 5 pounds is less than a pound a week, so I think it’s definitely attainable!! You’ll do awesome and I’m excited that you’re back!! Have a great, strong week, chickie!

Goals are deifnitely in the reasonable range. If you want to work that butt area, spend some quality time getting to know the stairclimber, as a distance runner I had a flat butt…its not so flat anymore, lol…

Hey girl,
Good luck to you! Your pic shows that you have been definitely working on defluffing already. Just step it up this week and you would be doing a happy dance, possbily even in a smaller jeans? Oh yea.

Hey fellow fluffer!!! You are really looking good, girl!! Your progress has been great! I think that 5 pound and 1 inch loss in 6 weeks is very realistic!!
I agree with the stepping away from the scale once in a while, we get too dependent on those numbers. A scale is not always the best measurement of fitness and health.
Hope your weekend went strong!!

If you are able to keep your positive attitude the rest of your goals should fall in line. They are reasonable and doable. God luck.

I am so glad to be part of the de-fluffing process with you. I can’t wait to get to know you! Sendng positive vibes your way!!!!
I had scale issues too, but I have just allowed myself to begin weighing again (without the freak out everytime the number changes — in the wrong direction).
