Well, Its been awhile since I’ve been online and I certainly miss all of my Body space friends. The past year has been a struggle with several different aspects of my life. Injuries, personal BS, training, working, etc. You know…..LIFE! The injuries have been the toughest for me, since I don’t feel like I’ve made the gains that I need and haven’t been able to lift the way I like to lift in the gym. You all know my moto….TRAIN LIKE A FREAK!! GO HARD OR GO HOME! So…..with all that said….I’m thinking March 2010 may be the next time I step on STAGE!! I need to re-qualify for Nationals, I miss competing….and mentally I need to get back. I’m always up for a good challenge. So, my dear friends. I will try to be better at responding to messages…and look for me in the near future.
Maybe my body is trying to tell me something. LOL And of course we are all feeling the pressures of the economy, so….as much as competiting is important to me. (AND you all know it is my true passion) Competiting for at least the first part of the year may have to wait. I cant seem to get any size on me and really should be around 145lbs. starting a diet in March for the Jr. Nationals and Im holding at 131.lbs. You know If Im not 110% I will not get on stage. With that said..I have to apologize for not responding to all the messages that I get and comments as I havent spend alot of time on the computer these days. I value all my friends on here and am very grateful for all the encouragement and support that I receive from each one of you. I am planning on attending the ARNOLD CLASSIC this year. So, I hope to meet some of you there. It should be a great show!! Again….thank you. SEE YOU ON STAGE!! ROCKSTAR xo

Well, Im back from the show this past weekend…and all I can say is WOW! What a great show and great experience!!! As always this show is phenomenal and ran so well. There were 141 competitors total, 30 being figure and the rest bodybuilders. There were 11 total female bodybuilders, which is an awesome turn out. I got in Friday night for early weigh ins and weighed 124.5lbs. Thinking I wasn’t going to make the lightweights, my trainer decided to just continue loading me up. LOL YEAH ME!!! So….we proceeded to try and find a place to eat and decided on something that I NEVER even eat off season. I HAD a DOUBLE WHOPPER with cheese, fries and a truck load of Ketchup. I dont even eat ketchup. lol ANYWAY…wondering if I could eat the whole thing and to my amazement…NOT REALLY….I DID! hehehehehe.

So, we headed back to the hotel to get my feet up, stray some color on, pose and get to bed. Woke up the next morning to the wonderful smell of a HUGE WAFFLE with real butter and maple syrup. YUM!! YEP…once again, I ate the whole thing. Got ready and headed off to the morning meeting. I decided to weigh in again to see where I was. Started off with the lightweights…..121.5lbs. Nope, didnt make it. Went to pee…and weighed in with the Middleweights…dropped one more pound and got on stage at 120.5lbs @ about 6.8% bodyfat.

Well…long story short. I won my class and went up against the lightweight and heavyweight for the overall. IT WAS TOUGH…I have never worked so hard for a win. My heart was pounding….and I could NOT stop shaking on Stage. But….after all the hard work….the diet….and the training. I ended up with the "OVERALL WIN"….and by ONLY one point. A couple of the judges really wanted the bigger look and thought I was a bit too up and down. I do need to work on my lats and shoulder more for Masters and Nationals next year. I was very happy with my legs however and total conditioning. And yes….VERY THANKFUL for the "overall".

So….to finalize, I once again want and NEED to thank all of you on Bodyspace for everything. All the kind words, all the support, encouragement, emails and comments. It is an awesome feeling to have so many on your side and cheering for you. I couldnt do it without YOU! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Until next time……SEE YA ON STAGE! xo

HMMMM?? Where to start. First, I train hard enough to make a grown man puke. Second, When some say that the diet is designed for you to CHEAT….I DONT!! I eat as clean as it gets.
I am 46 yrs. old…and have been lifting for 20 plus years… (does this person know anything about muscle maturity?) and have always trained my upper body like a guy. Did this person see my lower half. If in fact I was using steriods…my lower body would be just has hard and conditioned as my upper body. but its not. (steriods dont decide where they want to build muscle) Not competiting until the past two years, I’ve NEVER trained my legs like I should have been, but genetics plays a huge part in my upper body. With all that said. IM Two weeks out from a show….with all the muscle that I carry in my upper body. I SHOULD BE this hard, dry and lean. I would love for someone to challenge Iris, Jay, Ronnie or anyone else that LOOKS GOOD with a question like that. Plus….why does anyone care? Just a question…..
Anyway, thanks for your thoughts and input.
Take care……

Just a thought..but if you were to go back and look at my progress pics from the Arnold….about 2-5 weeks out my back was getting pretty cut and lean. And I was doing figure. I have had some comment on how many changes I have made in the past 6 months. Well, isnt that the goal? Especially, if you’re going from figure to BB??? I needed to put on size and gain some muslce. So, why is it that if you Train hard….diet right and look good. Everyone assumes you take steriods.??

all comments welcome. And remember im 2 weeks out from a show…..

I have recently been sent an email about the use of steriods and my training. read below….

dont know how to say this but ……
well one of my good friends is in the the ifbb, and they say that you, by no means are ‘legal’.. this obviously means that you take supplements that i cant buy at GNC….. now im one of those people that dont buy into rumors, so i’d figure i’d go straight to the source… if you chose not to reply, i’m gonna assume that you do and you just dont wanna talk about it….. now before you get all pissed and cuse me under your breath, in no way shape or form do i think peoplethat do use controlled supplements a cheater or that they are taking the easy way out… i find the oppisite to be quite true.. people that do use these drugs seem to workout harder, stay more focused, and take this sport to the next lvl….also, that there is no wonder drug that just builds muscle and burns fat while you just sit on the couch… one still has to workout hard and stay close to a clean diet

My response to the question:

Well guys…..Jr. Nationals is going to have to wait. Yesterday I was in a car accident. ( I cant believe it, I’m absolutly beside my self) I did end up going to the hospital and I have a sprained neck and today a very sore body, stiff back, legs and arms. I’m starting to think that for some reason, Jr. Nationals was just NOT meant for me this year. I thought I would be able to work thru the pain of the shoulder injury, bust my butt in the gym and make it to the stage. But….I can’t recover from this in time and be 100%. And if I’m not 110%…I can’t do it and risk more injury. So….I’m holding off. For those of you that know me….even a little bit, this is my life. Along with my two beautiful children…all I have is my bodybuilding and competing. I know it may sound absurd to most. But…I would be lost without my children and I’m lost without this. (Meds may be kicking in if I sound emotional) I"m trying to mentally be ok. with this. THE UPSIDE!! and there is ALWAYS a positive side. I can take the next 3 months, enjoy some wine…heheh hang with the kids, totally get my body healthy and do NATIONALS in November.

So, my dear friends on bb.com. I’ll be busy this week and next. Talking with insurance people, getting the car fixed, physical therapy and resting. So, if I dont respond right away…..I will as soon as possible. KEEP UP with YOUR GOALS everyone. Summer/AB season is right around the corner. STAY STRONG!! See ya on stage…….2008 Rockstar

Well, 9 weeks out from Jr. Nationals and I"m on overload. My plate is full, tons of stuff with the kids going on for the end of the school year, car problems that are causing me stress and to top it all off….my shoulder (which I just got a cortizone injection a week ago) is STILL bothering me. I’m going in to have an MRI next week. So, I’ve always said if I wasn’t having fun competiting, I would take a break. Well, I’m not having fun right now. I wasn’t sure I was ready to start another diet after the Arnold, but really wanted to compete at JR. Natiionals. So, now with everything going on…..I really don’t know if I can be ready. Mentally and/or Physically. My bodyfat is 11.2%, so its not that i’m worried about. Its my shoulder and the rest of my body as far as being physically ready. I"m also struggling with the fact that I feel like I’m quiting. And I don’t quit at anything that I start. So, I’m asking for some sound advice from those that aren’t dieting and can think clearly…..LOL. The upside to this is………that the MASTER’s NATIONALS is only 4 weeks after Jrs. AND that’s a Huge show. Also a pro-qualifer. AND, when I get thru the next couple of weeks, get my shoulder/bicep issue figured out…..I could possibly do Bodybuilding at the Masters’s which is what I really love. So……..thought anyone??? Just buck up and keep pushing for JR. Nationals, June 19th or hold off until Masters, July 19th??? Thanks guys….again for all the support. It means the world to me. See ya on STAGE! 2008 ROCKSTAR

Well, 10 weeks to go until Jr. Nationals and my head doesn’t seem to be in the game yet. I had a short break after the Arnold, but it sure didn’t seem long enough. Some injurys that have been causing me some problems, (just had a cortizone injection in my shoulder), so hopefully that will help. But with all that I am never too busy thanks those who check out my profile, send me comments and give me the support and encouragement that helps me get thru a diet while prepping for a show. I haven’t been online too much lately….Its the end of the school year for my kids….(track, comfirmation, 8th grade graduation, school musical…..yada yada yada) and they are involved with it all, and I would have it no other way. My kids are my life. So, please bare with me……I’ll be swamped until the end of May, but then will have more time to answer questions and chat more. Also, training clients and prepping my self for shows has got me spread pretty thin…but as I said. I will be back in full force in June. So….THANK YOU….this site and everybody that I’ve met or talked to has truly been a blessing and I am thankful to get the support that you give.

Well, helllo everyone….I am so sorry that I have not been on bb.com very much lately. Almost immediately after the Arnold, I was sick for about 2 weeks. Wasn’t going to the gym, but was consuming tons of calories….heheheheh….boy eating is fun!! lol I’ve also been trying to get some spring cleaning done before this diet started, because as you know…you run out of energy pretty quick once the diet starts. Plus on top of that…..you all know those things called work and family. I have endless things to do for the kids and end of school year stuff that is taking tons of time….so, with that said…..please bear with me. JR. NATIONALS is 12 weeks away so I am back in FULL FORCE. Thanks….I appreciate all of you.
