Waiting for Nationals in Nov.

Well guys…..Jr. Nationals is going to have to wait.  Yesterday I was in a car accident. ( I cant believe it, I’m absolutly beside my self) I did end up going to the hospital and I have a sprained neck and today a very sore body, stiff back, legs and arms.  I’m starting to think that for some reason, Jr. Nationals was just NOT meant for me this year.  I thought I would be able to work thru the pain of the shoulder injury, bust my butt in the gym and make it to the stage.  But….I can’t recover from this in time and be 100%.  And if I’m not 110%…I can’t do it and risk more injury.  So….I’m holding off.  For those of you that know me….even a little bit, this is my life.  Along with my two beautiful children…all I have is my bodybuilding and competing.  I know it may sound absurd to most.   But…I would be lost without my children and I’m lost without this.  (Meds may be kicking in if I sound emotional) :)   I"m trying to mentally be ok. with this.  THE UPSIDE!! and there is ALWAYS a positive side.  I can take the next 3 months, enjoy some wine…heheh hang with the kids, totally get my body healthy and do NATIONALS in November.

So, my dear friends on bb.com.  I’ll be busy this week and next.  Talking with insurance people, getting the car fixed, physical therapy and resting.  So, if I dont respond right away…..I will as soon as possible.   KEEP UP with YOUR GOALS everyone.  Summer/AB season is right around the corner.  STAY STRONG!!  See ya on stage…….2008 Rockstar

OMG that sucks! It wasn’t meant to be this year, but that means that you can build more and come in so much better next year :)

    Amy,
Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I can relate to how you feel about your children and your body building. I wasn’t in a car accident, but I was injured and couldn’t workout for a month. I thought I would die not being able to hit the gym. I’m not a competitor, but being fit for life is a fire burning in my heart and it keeps me going. Best wishes with your recovery and getting back to the gym soon. In the meantime enjoy your children and life in general.

I am glad that you are OK which is the more important thing. I can identify with the depression from not being able to compete. Sometimes in life, as I am sure you know, our paths do not lead us where we wantto go but instead where we should go. Rest assured your hard work will be rewarded. I’m out for a mere ten days and won’t see my angels till August. So I can identify.

Get Well enjoy the break and the wine.

Hi Amy…I was so bummed out to hear about what happened. I’m glad you are ok for the most part. I agree…this show was not meant to be …so don’t fight nature ok? Maybe God wants you to rest a little, relax, reflect on all of the blessings in your life and catch up with all things other than working out and looking after others. It’s spring…good things in bloom. :)
    Much love 4 ya’,

Don’t sweat about not doing. Some things you can control and some things you have no control over at all. Use the time to get better than you thought possible, That what I did after my car accident!!

  16. KrGAce Says:

Well my friend, I have just read your blog. You and I have been friends for weeks now and I am just learning of your accident? What kind of friend am I? Anyway, I can try to understand your down feelings, however I am a strong believer that things happen for a reason. It could be this is a small reminder for you to cherish those things that mean the most to you, your kids, all of us here at bb.com (We are behind you!), or it could be a reminder that a rest was in order to relax, refocus, or it could mean that you are going to kick some major booty at the Nationals in November! The bright side? cherish what you have, because to those you do have, you are an inspiration to your kids, myself, and everyone here! You ROCK ROCKSTAR!

    Kevin-Team Kessler…for life!

    Hi Amy,

Be very careful in regards to your accident and talk to a specialist.I have had many people feel they are okay and then ended up having neck problems later on down the line.I say this out of respect and concern.

So sorry to hear about the Jr.s,so much hard work went into this, but the good news in reading your history is that you have a very solid base and an excellant build that responds quickly.I have no doubt that the future compitions are yours!

How are the children? Were they in the car as well?Prayers for a speedy recovery to you.
