Waiting for Nationals in Nov.

May 8, 2008

Well guys…..Jr. Nationals is going to have to wait.  Yesterday I was in a car accident. ( I cant believe it, I’m absolutly beside my self) I did end up going to the hospital and I have a sprained neck and today a very sore body, stiff back, legs and arms.  I’m starting to think that for some reason, Jr. Nationals was just NOT meant for me this year.  I thought I would be able to work thru the pain of the shoulder injury, bust my butt in the gym and make it to the stage.  But….I can’t recover from this in time and be 100%.  And if I’m not 110%…I can’t do it and risk more injury.  So….I’m holding off.  For those of you that know me….even a little bit, this is my life.  Along with my two beautiful children…all I have is my bodybuilding and competing.  I know it may sound absurd to most.   But…I would be lost without my children and I’m lost without this.  (Meds may be kicking in if I sound emotional) :)   I"m trying to mentally be ok. with this.  THE UPSIDE!! and there is ALWAYS a positive side.  I can take the next 3 months, enjoy some wine…heheh hang with the kids, totally get my body healthy and do NATIONALS in November.

So, my dear friends on bb.com.  I’ll be busy this week and next.  Talking with insurance people, getting the car fixed, physical therapy and resting.  So, if I dont respond right away…..I will as soon as possible.   KEEP UP with YOUR GOALS everyone.  Summer/AB season is right around the corner.  STAY STRONG!!  See ya on stage…….2008 Rockstar

Advice needed!

April 21, 2008

Well, 9 weeks out from Jr. Nationals and I"m on overload.  My plate is full, tons of stuff with the kids going on for the end of the school year, car problems that are causing me stress and to top it all off….my shoulder (which I just got a cortizone injection a week ago) is STILL bothering me.  I’m going in to have an MRI next week.  So, I’ve always said if I wasn’t having fun competiting, I would take a break.  Well, I’m  not having fun right now.   I wasn’t sure I was ready to start another diet after the Arnold, but really wanted to compete at JR. Natiionals.  So, now with everything going on…..I really don’t know if I can be ready.  Mentally and/or Physically.  My bodyfat is 11.2%, so its not that i’m worried about.  Its my shoulder and the rest of my body as far as being physically ready.  I"m also struggling with the fact that I feel like I’m quiting.  And I don’t quit at anything that I start.  So, I’m asking for some sound advice from those that aren’t dieting and can think clearly…..LOL.  The upside to this is………that the MASTER’s NATIONALS is only 4 weeks after Jrs.  AND that’s a Huge show.  Also a pro-qualifer.  AND, when I get thru the next couple of weeks, get my shoulder/bicep issue figured out…..I could possibly do Bodybuilding at the Masters’s which is what I really love.  So……..thought anyone???  Just buck up and keep pushing for JR. Nationals, June 19th or hold off until Masters, July 19th???  Thanks guys….again for all the support.  It means the world to me.  See ya on STAGE!  2008 ROCKSTAR

10 weeks from Jr. Nationals.

April 16, 2008

Well, 10 weeks to go until Jr. Nationals and my head doesn’t seem to be in the game yet.  I had a short break after the Arnold, but it sure didn’t seem long enough.  Some injurys that have been causing me some problems, (just had a cortizone injection in my shoulder), so hopefully that will help. But with all that I am never too busy thanks those who check out my profile, send me comments and give me the support and encouragement that helps me get thru a diet while prepping for a show.  I haven’t been online too much lately….Its the end of the school year for my kids….(track, comfirmation, 8th grade graduation, school musical…..yada yada yada) and they are involved with it all, and I would have it no other way.  My kids are my life.  So, please bare with me……I’ll be swamped until the end of May, but then will have more time to answer questions and chat more.  Also, training clients and prepping my self for shows has got me spread pretty thin…but as I said.  I will be back in full force in June.  So….THANK YOU….this site and everybody that I’ve met or talked to has truly been a blessing and I am thankful to get the support that you give.

Diet Starts Today!

March 30, 2008

Well, helllo everyone….I am so sorry that I have not been on bb.com very much lately.  Almost immediately after the Arnold, I was sick for about 2 weeks.  Wasn’t going to the gym, but was consuming tons of calories….heheheheh….boy eating is fun!!  lol   I’ve also been trying to get some spring cleaning done before this diet started, because as you know…you run out of energy pretty quick once the diet starts.  Plus on top of that…..you all know those things called work and family.  I have endless things to do for the kids and end of school year stuff that is taking tons of time….so, with that said…..please bear with me.  JR. NATIONALS is 12 weeks away so I am back in FULL FORCE.  Thanks….I appreciate all of you.

Figure or Bodybuilding Poll

March 4, 2008

Ok everyone, I know I said I was going back to bodybuilding after the Arnold Classic, but i’m really on the fence with this one.  I’ve done 2 bodybuilding show and did very well. I’ve now done 2 figure shows……one of which was at a International Level and did good.  So, now the question is….do I go back to bodybuilding for Jr. Nationals….Lightweight or stay in Figure and try to get my pro-card.  I have most judges telling me to do BB….lightweight.  I LOVE bodybuilding, i love the hard, lean, shredded look that you have to obtain to get on stage, i love the posing and the routine that you have to do. The judging is consistant….you MUST be HARD,DRY,LEAN and SHREDDED.  But, to get a pro-card at that level…..I’d probaby have to change the way I look and I don’t want to do that.  So, that takes us to figure…..Judging is inconsistant. You never know if they want hard and lean, or softer and fulller.  I would have to tone down my back a bit….(you know the "MONEY SHOT") LOL,  I compete against probably 40 to 50 girls in my division as opposed to maybe 15 in BB…….but, i keep my feminine look. So, I"m taking a poll……please give me your input and opinions.  FIGURE or BODYBUILDING???

ARNOLD AMATEUR RESULTS

March 3, 2008

Well, Hello everyone…..I’m back and trying to recoup from a very exciting weekend. As many of you know. I made the top ten after pre-judging to go onto the finals on Sat. Here is the link for pre-judging pics. http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareLandingSignin.jsp?Uc=13y9p6gu.uk4ql26&Uy=2ay5kr&Upost_signin=Slideshow.jsp%3Fmode%3Dfromshare&Ux=0   Finals where Sat. am and went by in a flash. I unfortunately did not make the top 5. I placed 7th in my division.  I actually did not find out until this morning, and i’m still trying to find score sheets online to see where I feel overall with the 125 competiters.  My experience at the Arnold was awesome.  This only being my second figure show ever…i’m quite happy with how I did.  I was probably a bit too hard and lean for what the judges where looking for, but I knew what I wanted to look like and for my legs to come in….well, it’s how the chips fall.  I’m please with the results.  The competition was tough….all the girls looked fantasic and everyone was extremely nice back stage.

SO.. after finals.  I FINALLY MET KAT!!!!!!!! OMG..i’m standing at a booth with a couple of friends and I swear I recognize this woman and sure enough, she comes up to me………AND YEP…it’s KATNAP!!!!!!  It was the greatest!  She looks amazing……she beautiful……..she’s sincere and I absolutely love her.  THANK YOU KAT…..for supporting me!   I cannot wait to see her on stage.

I just want you all to know that because of BB.com…you guys made me feel like a star…..a ROCKSTAR! LOL I cannot tell you enough how truly blessed I am to be part of a site that has given me some much.  I feel like I belong to this strong family where the encouragment and support is endless.

I will be posting new pics soon…..To my BODYSPACE FAMILY….my hat is off to you all.  God bless you.

Ok. folks…..here we are.  Flying out tomorrow at 7AM for Columbus, Ohio.  I weighed in today at 120lbs and my bodyfat was 7.7%, that is very close to what I wanted to be at on stage.  My goal was 7.5% and 115lbs.  I am totally carb depleted right now…so hopefully I’m speelong everything right (LOL…just playing on the spelling word).  See, not so bad….I haven’t lost my sense of humor.  Although I will be soon, if I don’t get packed, prep my food for the next three days, spray tan, get some final cardio in AND hmmmmmmmmmmm  RELAX!!!  Oh yeah…start to carb load tonight and really thought it was going to be something good.  NOPE!  Red pot…thats what I get to start with.  YUK…gotta stay clean as to not spill over, come in flat……and definitely not retain any water.  OK…with all that said.  I have to go…..AGAIN, my dearest Bodyspace friends. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU….YOU HAVE TRULY BEEN A BLESSING WITH ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT THAT HAS KEPT ME GOING OVER THAT PAST FEW WEEKS.  MUAH…..SEE YA ON STAGE, AMY 2008 ROCKSTAR
