16 weeks out to next show
I am back in the blogging game. Yup…16 weeks out until the Atlantic Bodybuilding Championships in the Maritimes. I am excited! I went through a bit of a rough time with my eating for the past 4 weeks after the competition. I am up about 8lbs from my competition weight, which I feel is pretty good…but at the same time I loved the way I felt super lean. I got the results from the last competition.. I placed 5th in the Medium Figure Category. The judges said that I need to come in a bit leaner…8lbs lighter and I should be able to get into the top 3. My nutritional coach last time didn’t want me to get any leaner/harder because he said that the judges were looking for more of a softer appearance…well apparently he was WRONG! hahaha…that is ok, I really would like to come in a bit harder. My goal is to be around 115 - 118lbs on competition day in April. Currently my weight is 130lbs…gained 8lbs post competition, but I am sure on week of dieting will bring it down quite a bit ( water weight). Tonnes of time to diet slowly and safely. This time I am planning to train heavier, and not do any high rep sets until 4 weeks out. Last time I started way to early doing higher reps at 12 weeks out..insanity..too early! For me, anyways!
I am really excited! Going to get 5 inch heels this time, and add some more stones to my passionfruit suit that I bought for the last show.
I am actually happier now that I am on a stricter diet, I guess I work best with structure. I am definitely going to have a REFEED on christmas…strict dieting until Dec 24th and then I am enjoying the feel-good food that my mother makes…mmmmm…I am in heaven just thinking about it! LOL!!
Talk later
Amy.
