I had a great "leg day" today and instead of fantasizing of all the crap in the "kiddie junk drawer" I'm going to give you guys the run down on my workout today!
I woke up this morning bright and early and did an hour and a half walk fasted.
The best way to start the day!!!
At 5 I hit the gym and started with a few warm up sets on the leg extension - lube up the knees and get the blood going.
1. LEG EXTENSIONS (1 LEG @ A TIME) 5 sets - plus 2 warm ups.
I start out with 30 lbs 1 leg warm up and worked up to 110lb 1 leg for reps of 8.
2. HACK SQUAT (I used to HATE this machine because I sucked SO bad I could barely do it with NO weights LoL) 5 sets. 1st set 45's on each side. 2nd & 3rd set 2 45's on each side for reps of 10. Set 4 & 5 I kicked it up and added a 25 on each side!!! YEA BUDDY!!! Reps of 8!! Whooo Hoooo!
3. DEAD LIFTS: I love these ... you get the best looks from everyone in the gym... I like to be loud and grunt and I smack those weights down "clank" "clank" - you betcha!!! 5 sets - reps of 8 with 45's on each side. Not too much rest in between - pushing myself.
4. I hit the two hamstring machines to finish up my workout. I do lots of volume... decent weight - high reps.
THEN the stairmill!!!! Only 20 minutes tonight though cause I had to take my 2 puppies for their shots
