Day 2

April 1, 2009

Starting Weight: 189.5 lbs
Current Weight: 190
Difference: + 0.5 lbs

Woo hoo…up a 1/2 lb….yah…but no…seriously….I think I want it to go the other way….

Anyhow, today was fine. I think I am already getting sick of celery…(actually I know I am already getting sick of it). Today was fine, no problems. Have very little hunger urges, which is good. Nuked the crap out of the asparagus…so it’s not so stringy…they halved in size,,but hey..they were edible.

No headaches, so that was good. I am going to punch in all this info into Fitday to find out what the actual macro ratios are. Would be interesting to know at the very least.

Proud, today my son and I got out 2nd Blue Strip (Karate). We (he’s 5) have been going together since February, and I think it’s good for both of us. KIA!

Day 1

March 31, 2009

Stats:
Starting Weight: 189.5 lbs

Well, here is a list of items to eat for Day 1:
Meal 1= 1 1/2 cups oatmeal and 1 orange or banana
Meal 2= 1 apple
Meal 3= 1 cup rice, 4 oz chicken breast or fish, 1 cup summer squash
Meal 4= 2 cups raw celery with 1 tbsp organic peanut butter
Meal 5= 8 oz fish, 1 cup zucchini, 1 cup asparagus, 3 cups salad
Meal 6= 1 cup mixed berries

Really wasn’t too sure if they want me to eat 1.5 cups measured before cooking or after cooking Oatmeal??? 1.5 cups before cooking is ALOT of freakin oatmeal. I put in just 1 cup raw, and at that with the banana in it. For lunch, I didn’t cook the squash, which was mistake. I figured the microwave would cook it, but alas, I was wrong.

The 2 cups of celery was a challenge! I was chewing for like…20 minutes straight…maybe the secret loss in weight is due to overexertion of jaw muscles???

Other than that, the food was pretty uneventful. I drank about 100oz of water, which I should increase to 128+.

I do however, now have a headache, as well as my neck is a little tense/sore, like a slept in the wrong position. I have been getting headaches before this diet, later in the afternoon, so this may be the case.

I did not go to the gym as planned, as I was at the office until 6:30 and I told my kids I would be home "early". Maybe I’ll hop on the WIIFIT tonight so I don’t feel as guilty.

My energy level does seem a little low, but not too much. Might have just been the phone call that I got off from at work. We’ll see what the weight is tomorrow morning…

15 Lbs in 21 Days

March 30, 2009

I am going to be trying the whole ‘15 Lbs in 21 Days" diet. I have been trying my own diet of (oatmeal, egg whites, chicken, brown rice, whey, NPB) and I am getting impatient with the results. I realize that I WILL NOT LOSE 15 Lbs of Fat in this process. This will not be my goal, but merely to "jump start" the process.

I am currently around 190 lbs with a goal of getting down to 169.5 while also adding on 5 lbs of muscle.

This is totally an experience, no right, no wrong. It’s an experiment, I’m trying something different to see how my body reacts, pros/cons, etc.

At the end of 21 days, I am going to get back to my regular diet (see above) and then carefully watch the scale to make sure there is as minimal slideback as possible. I do not expect to lose 15 lbs in 21 days, but it will be an interesting experiment that hopefully can give you some insight into what can happen.

Wish me luck! Hopefully I don’t end on YouTube as the idiot that died trying something stupid….but hey…life is meant to be lived, and there are way worse things than what I am about to do (Smoking crack, drunk driving, meth, roids)
