Cleans, clean and press, squats, deadlift and incline bench are the biggies. All power movement begins with the hip and is transferred to the ground and to your opponent. Watch and learn as much as you can about your position and have fun (hitting people and physically / mentally competing is fun). You appear to have a lot of good functional strength, use your brains out there and you'll do fine.

Hey guys forgot all about this, so here's an update: I'm 167-170 dry morning weight depending on the day. I got a shirt/suit for x-mas and since then I've benched 295x2 and 300x1shirted and squatted 405x2 and 415x1 suited. I've done 275 raw bench and 425 with a belt/chalk deadlift.

At my meet yesterday I benched 225 and deadlifted 390, at 162.4 pounds. It was an awesome day. I can't wait to get back into the gym tomorrow and kill some weights.

Just thought I'd put up that I broke my goal of a 225 bench(touch and go) and 315 deadlift, so I made new goals. I want to get over 600 at the meet on November 18th, 2006. (Deadlift+Bench) I want to pull at least 375 and bench 225(Pause bench). I'm very close. Bench is at 215 competition style, and my deadlift is at 355. My deadlift has shot up like a rocket since I've been working out more often and more intense.

I had a great day. I warmed up on the leg extension/ leg curl machines then moved on to a few light sets of sumo squats. I had a lot in me still so insted of doing SLDL's I did regular deadlifts. I did some good sets then started to feel like a had a ton in me still. I put 315 on and pulled out 3 reps. Bumped it up to 335 and got it for 3 reps! Then I put on 355! It came right up! My old PR was 325 from about a month ago, so I guess I'm doing something right. I think gaining 15lbs. or so helped all my lifts out a lot.

If you are trying get some off the floor speed maybe try doing some squat presses or some clean and jerks those are good for that. Sounds like your mass program is going good so far keep up the good work. I will find out tonight how mine is going, I take pics and weight and measures.
