Milestones
You know those pair of pants you keep in the closet that used to fit but you couldn’t get rid of them because one, you like them and two, you told yourself that you will fit back into them one day? Yeah, many of us have those lurking around including me. In fact I have slacks that range from a 34" waist up to a 38" waist. Well, yesterday, while getting ready for work, I realized that had just about all of my slacks at the dry cleaners. So there they hung with a layer of that closet dust that collects when our clothes drape over the hanger for an indefinite time. I thought to myself, " Would those fit?…Naw, no way." So I put on some other pants that I have served me well but I knew they were getting loose and when I put them on, I couldn’t how loose they become. I couldn’t wear those - they would be all bunched up around the waist. Nice look - not. Well, I grabbed "those" pants. The ones that I haven’t worn since my 20’s (dress slacks so they’re still cool). I put them on and couldn’t believe it - they fit and I don’t mean the kind of "fit" where you have to suck it in a lilttle. No, these actually fit well. After cleaning off the "bar" of dust on the thigh, I was off to work. These are the milestones that keep me going especially when I get frustrated with plateaus.
