The Grasshopper - Chocolate Mint Protein Shake Recipe

  • Liquid (Almond Breeze Unsweetened Chocolate Almond Milk or water/milk)
  • 1-2 scoops of chocolate whey protein powder
  • A few drops of mint extract (less than 1/8 Teaspoon)
  • Several Tablespoons of high quality, good tasting cottage cheese
  • 1/2 Cup pasteurized egg whites
  • Splenda, powdered erthyritol or stevia
  • 1 Tablespoon dark cocoa powder (not hot chocolate mix)
  • 1 Tablespoon cream cheese
  • 2 Tablespoons ground golden flaxseed
  • Optional: pinch of guar gum to thicken
  • Ice

This little triple protein concoction tastes like a drinkable Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookie!
Tips & Variations:

  • Drizzle with low carb/sugar free Hershey’s chocolate syrup
  • Get fierce and add even more chocolate - Another Tablespoon of dark cocoa and a splash of Torani Chocolate Syrup
  • Add even more chunks of cream cheese to the mixture before blending
  • Add 1 Teaspoon to 1 Tablespoon Virgin Coconut Oil
