As of today, I am now a volunteer at the Castle Air Museum in Atwater, Ca(near Merced). Anyone in California who is near or going through there should check it out sometime. For those who don’t know, it is a growing Museum with over 50 planes currently ranging from World War Two up to the newest aircraft they got, the F-15. Support is always appreciated.

As of just recently, I have come to realize that what I want to do with my life is become a pilot in the United States Marine Corps. A week ago, I had rented an aircraft and went flying with an instructor it was the greatest thing I had ever done. I have started working on my private pilot’s license, and also been working harder than ever to get my Bachelor’s Degree and then join the USMC. But a part of this is, I must be in perfect physical condition. I have seriously kicked up my efforts to become in better shape; I am now running distances of 3 miles, doing a minimum of 25 pull-ups a day(this will increase as they get easier) and I have started working harder on strength training for major areas like my chest, arms, back, abs and legs. Doing all this, I will be cleaning out my old progress pictures and starting over fresh with a weekly update for images. I imagine myself in 1 year and 2 years from now being extremely fit, well educated and ready to defend the country from the air.

Quick thing on my mind that I want to talk to myself about. The one thing people ask me a lot is how I got my abdominal muscle definition, whether it was hard work or anything of that nature. So as I write to myself, I am thinking that really the definition comes from a combination of doing sit-ups for years and more recently in the past year or so, I now do sit-ups 25 or 50 at a time while having two 25 pound plates on my chest; I use two 25 lb plates for the simple fact that it is easier to manage them and have the weight ride higher up on my chest. The plates rest between just a little under my sternum and just under my collar bones. I believe that the lower muscles of the abs get more of a work out because the plates hinder my motion of curling into more of a ridged crunch, keeping my back straight and making the bottom two do all of the work. This concludes me talking to myself.

As of two days ago I started taking Whey Protein for the first time and I think taking it has motivated me to work out. So one month from now I will start posting stats again. I haven’t worked out in months really so it would be rather unfair to start posting stats, my charts would look very weird. Well, do you think I should post stats? Let me know.
