BODY IS STILL IN SELF REGULATION MODE

May 13, 2009

My Body still seems to be in Self Regulation mode…

During these periods it seems to manage itself whether I excercise or not… I can eat whatever I want and without so much as an ounce of exercise and still mantain a slim lean muscle build but without the gains I want to see - Its kinda irritating…..

Interesting:  My body seems to be fascinated with a reset.  If I gain or lose too much it re-sets quickly to get me back to a lean muscle build.  I had begun to notice my guns getting a little bigger and then BAM! a reset!  The Image of me in the Red shorts seems to be about where my body wants to stay.  Meanwhile, I am trying to get these guns to look like "THE INCREDIBLE HULK!"  LOL!

Insult to Injury: Sometimes in reset mode, I will wake up and notice muscle has been added in my sleep that I know was not there before!  and I also know that I have not been working out for weeks! - So why put myself through my sweat filled work-outs? Heh heh

The diet is always clean and natural so my metabolism and genetics truly have a mind of their own.

Anway, I will have to figure out a way to maximize on this self regulation business……. In the interim, um gonna have some Vanilla Ice Cream Smothered in cholcolate after dinner!  As my self regulation will surely take care of it!  Ha ha ha!  So YES! there is a benefit!

Until Next time,

Alii

GENETICS and METABOLISM

May 5, 2009

Based on continued observation, my genetics and metabolims are interested in a slim lean muscle build.  This means that getting huge like Johny O Jackson and Jay Cutler is not in the genetic makeup.

My Genetics and Metabolism doesn’t want me to gain too much weight nor loose too much weight.  My body demands calories if I begin to lose and will melt calories if I start to gain. My body seems to be in a self service mode regardless of whether I work out or not.  I find this intriguing.

This self regulating mode is OK but it seems to be keeping me at a constant……..

I want to maximize this lean muscle build for optimal affect while keeping the diet clean and natural.  I am going to have to do more self research to see what cycles my body goes through during the year that will yield the best body building results….. Of course I will need to consider external factors in every day life that occur causing delays in training etc etc.

In any case, the main goal is to stay positive and consistent with some adjustments along the way….

Ok, just another thought while thinking about fitness….

Until next time,

THE RUN VS THE ANLKLES

April 28, 2009

I have added the run to my routine twice a week.   This determination was made after negotiations with my ankles.

Even though all the other body parts and organs expressed no concerns, I had to hear the ankles out.  They constantly reminded me that without support from so much as one of them for this initiative, that I would not be going anywhere.

The Ankles reminded me that they "Run" the show and since they have concerns, I needed to listen.  Following my "Know your Body" protocal, I did indeed listen and came up with the twice a week routine run.  There have been some grumblings from the ankles but so far the agreement remains in place.   Heh heh heh

Moral of the Story: Listen to your body and make adjustments and changes to your program as necessary. You may need to even cease a particular training or program for awhile.

Results:  The Run seems to burn more fat off the body that I have noticed.  Now I need to add muscle with continued fat loss that will enable the level of perfection that I am seeking.

I will continue to listen to my body as I don’t want any injuries that will delay my training.

Until the next blog,

THE SAUNA / SAFETY FIRST

April 26, 2009

Recently I over stayed my welcome in the Sauna and according to eye witnesses I did not look good upon exiting.  I decided that the Sauna was not "Hot" enough so I would extend my stay for an hour.  This was not a good idea as I had just completed an hour of high endurance cardio.

THE SAUNA:  I don’t recommend it.  I use it for complexion issues and have found the heat useful for clogged pores etc….  I know my body has never cared for the sauna and prefers stimulation of the sweat glands through exertion and natural heat.  The end result of my exhausting experience with the sauna is to eliminate its use as a complexion treatment.

SAFETY FIRST:  Even the best of us need reminding sometimes.  I did an overide of my own safety protocol by deciding the sauna was not hot enough for my purpose and I stayed in too long.  One should always keep their safety as a priority.  Instructions for use and warnings are usually posted on or near the sauna - be sure to pay attention.

MORAL OF THE STORY:  Be you at work, play, or in the gym etc etc etc, always keep safety first in all that you do and you can’t go wrong.

REMEMBER:  If you stay safe while training, you can avoid injury and continue without interuption - and you all know how we hate interuptions in our program due to injuries we could have avoided.

SO ALII SAYS: KEEP IT SAFE !

The Program Started Today

February 8, 2009

I have designed an exercise program for myself that I have named:
 "The Consistency Program"

The program has 3 Parts:

1. The GYM

2. The Cardio

3. The Floor Exercises

Each Part of The Consistency Program must be completed daily and will require an early AM start time.

Since consistency with my exercise routine has been my main antagonist, it was very important that I develop a program to help reach fitness goals.

I have always advised that everyone keep the mind and body active constantly especially during times of adversity.  Keeping your mind and body sharp will help you overcome challenges and difficulties…..

I will be utilizing internal and external sources for motivation.  My external source of motivation will primarily come from the very diverse and dynamic members of BodyBuilding.com’s BodySpace.

Special Thanks to BodySpace member: MAMA-RAGE who’s words of encouragement always inspire me.

There is no greater MOTIVATOR than one who can MOTIVATE and be MOTIVATED by others as well.
