Ever notice...
...that certain people view your healthy eating as a challenge to them to try and break you down? "What's one doughnut going to hurt", "oh your going to the gym tonight anyhow", "who will know?", "it's his/her Birthday, you HAVE to eat cake", ect.
Here is my most recent example.
I have a new Manager and the other day our company had an employee appreciation and the reward was pizza and ice cream. I had just heated up my lunch when I saw my Manager walking down the hallway with her pizza and she asked if I was going to have any pizza or ice cream. I said "no, I think I'll pass" and she proceeded to comment about how I could put aside being healthy for one day. It was a very awkward situation because she followed it up with "oh I guess I should try to be healthy once in awhile too". I wasn't trying to make her feel bad about her own decisions, she did that on her own. And this isn't the first time she's done this either.
she was feeling guilty about her choices!!! And, yes, it is always funy when people look at you strange for eating healthy. It becomes the topic of the meal. I can only imagine what Vegatarian go through.
Happens to me allll the time at work. This is what seperates us from them. Don't worry what others say because clearly you're motivated and disciplined and they're not. Keep pushing....
This is one of the most irritating things in my opinion. I also can't stand it when people always want to go to places like Outback for work lunches. The birthday cake thing is the hardest because the person always takes it personal!!!
She's jealous because she could only dream of having your willpower! It's pretty cut and dry in my office...the fit and healthy people don't ever comment on my food. The unhealthy people, while talking with a mouthful of fried or sugary crap, point at my bowl of mixed chicken, egg whites and veggies and say "Eww that looks gross." No, you wanna know what looks gross? Your triple chin jiggling while you just spoke looks gross.
I hear it all the time, How can you live like that, you can't eat anything good and my favorite, why are you so obsessed with your diet. blah blah blah. I just keep walking. Now they are seeing the results and have STFU.

I love this topic, st work we have some of the guys trying to get in shape (me) and some of the guys "trying to get in shape" I cook for the most part on sunday for the week to come. I've learned no try and not eat anything that some in a bag. The others are constantly spending $10 to $15 a day on the vending machines. Or the best critique I got this week. Every day at start of shift we have to stretch as a department (company rules), on monday as we where stretching I heard "dude why do you look so serious when we are stretching....?" fallowed by another person saying " yeah he swears he's still doing one of his workout video...", so the only thing I could reply was " dude knees over ankles that's why you're always crying about your knees..." I'm the supervisor so I had to be nice.
