The book success is a choice is motivational and insightful in laying out what it takes to becoming a successful individual in whatever it is you want to do. The first step is deserving victory. This is where I have failed time and again. Deserving victory is about building the self esteem necessary to succeed through hard work, preparation and persistence. I have not deserved victory because while I want to have success I have not put in the work, along with the dedication in my diet that is needed to achieve the goals I desire. I will make changes starting today to change this flaw in my character because I deserve it.

I woke up this afternoon to the smell of sausage pizza. I work nights so I usually have my breakfast around noon. Anyway, I was torn between eating a slice of pizza or my usual cereal. Normally I would choose the pizza hands down since this is one of my favorites foods and I love the carbs no questioned asked. However, I was able to pass on the junk this time. My will power wavered but didn’t break. Off to the gym I go day three of BFL.

I made it to the gym two days in a row which is a good start for me. I have had varying levels of motivation in my workout plan and right now I am feeling pretty motivated. I am going to use this blog to keep myself honest and to stay motivated and excited. Every time I log on to this site I find interesting stories about people who have made amazing changes to their body and they reassure me that I can succeed. I weigh in on Sunday and I know that I will hit my mark.

I am so overwhelmed by the amount of information that is necessary to fully understand how to get my body in order. I have been reading the lifestyle cut diet book and I am having a tough time fully grasping the concepts within the book. I am going to stay with because I know that once I understand how to control my diet the gains will be immense. I did have a great workout yesterday and I will be going back to the gym first thing this morning. My schedule is crazy, I work the third shift and I haven’t made the time to really prepare my meals so I eat out of the cafeteria most nights. I am working on keeping my caloric intake below 2500 calories and I am trying to workout six days a week. I am proud that I actually made it to the gym everyday this week and I know that next will only lead to more gains. My biggest concern is my desire to see the numbers on the scale go down. I know that it takes time for the weight to drop I just wish it would happen faster. I’m just gonna stay with it. I have made my weekly goal for right now to be to make it to the gym 4-6 times a week and to go hard for an hour while I am there. I am hoping to get some pictures up real soon.

Well I guess this is how I begin to transform my body. Right now I am less than impressed with my physique. I used to be in great shape but for many reasons I have slowly gained weight at a steady rate. So I begin today on the long journey back to 215 pounds. I received my order of dialene 4 and sesamin today. I also purchased some Body Fortress Whey Protein that I will be taking as a preworkout and post workout meal. I hope that I can learn from allof you as I attempt to transform my body back into something that I can be proud of.
