Hey Bud,

I know how it is to be confronted with obstacles and challenges but please don't give up on your dream/goal to be competition ready by next year. Even if your target date is moved back a bit, push yourself to your limits though it may appear like a fruitless endeavor. "Appearances" are like smoke screens.

If you give up a little bit now, you'll establish the habit of giving up a little bit more and more often. Don't set yourself up for failure. You don't have do be a perfectionist but you owe it yourself to do the best you can. Right? You're worth the effort.

Give your best to your friends and family. Do them a big favor and do your best for yourself first. The bad times will always pop up just when you're about to break through. These are just little tests to see how committed you really are.

Get into the gym and treat yourself to the best workout you've ever had.

Don't give up.

Peace,
DD
