There is an 8k race coming up in September. I am going to start training for it tomorrow. I know that a lot of the people on this site are more concerned with the weight lifting side of working out but anyone with experience in the running department please feel free to give me some pointers on how to train. I really want to do well and I am going to give the training my all. Wish me luck everyone.

I have been weighing myself every morning and it appears like I have lost some weight, but I also know that I fluctuate a lot. This is rather a dissapointment because I am trying to put on mass, but on the other hand staying lean is also important to me. I am trying to eat every two hours so I’ll keep tracking how that works for me.

Got some advice from different people. I am going to start to really begin watching my diet, eating about every two hours high protein meals, and as far as working out mix up heavy and light days to help build mass and stay lean. Thanks for all the help everyone!

Today I will be starting a new weight training program. It is a powerlifting routine. Monday is squat day, Wednesday as bench day, and Friday is deadlift day (my favorite!). This program is a 3×2 with three two week loading phases. Can’t "weight" to get started. Also on the off days I am going to start adding in more cross training with time on the bike and running. Here goes…

Today I did my first entire stack on any machine. I maxed out my YMCA’s leg press machine at 490! I’m pretty pround of that. Also I am hitting the cardio more, put in an hour on the bike this morning. Can’t wait to see the hard work start turning rewards.

Had a really off day at the gym today. Didn’t get up my usual weights. It really makes you feel off your game all day because you don’t feel like you didn’t work to your potential and that is tough to deal with. Wish me better luck tomorrow.

Well I have just joined Bodybuilding.com in hopes that I will be able to meet a lot of people who will be able to give me advice and to just make a lot of friends along my way toward building a better body.
I’m getting pumped because I’m having a dealfift off with a friend tomorrow! I’m gonna smoke him!
