Today I tried Noxplode. I have been seeing my body start to plateau and was searching for something to bust back some big gains again. Honestly I wasn’t impressed at all. I didn’t see a reasonable increase in the amount of work I could do, nor did I have a more impressive pump. Simply this product didn’t give me any kind of benefit. If there are any thoughts on what kind of supplements might be wise to try to gain mass and stay lean.

With noticable improvement in my upper body as far as mass and definition, it is starting to put my lagging legs in stark contrast. My legs have always been my pride and joy because they are very strong. Now what I am running into as I am trying to seriously build my body is that even though they are strong they have no where near enough definition. The most definition I have is in my calves with my quads bringing in a distant second. I work my legs very hard and with heavy weights, maybe trying lighter weights with higher reps will do the trick. Anyone out there listening if you have any suggestions let me know!

Well this week is going to start my redediction to my diet. I have reached the point in my workouts with my genetic predisposition where I am virtually at a stand still with gaining lean mass. This is rather frustrating to me because I was always under the impression that I could acheive, obviously not a body builder’s body, but a substantial lean and strong body without going "overboard" on my diet. Any way, I have had a lot of help from people on this site, and I just want to say how much I appreciate all the help and advice. From here on out I am going to be as dedicated to my diet as I am to my workout routine. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I do this.
Keep pumpin~

Finally! I broke 180 on my weight. I have been eating a ton of food, with about 5 high protein meals a day and have been really struggling to put on any weight. Today is the first day since I have begun really keeping track of my weight, that I have broken the 180lb mark! Wow, I am so pumped, I feel like now I can just go up from there to my goal of 200 or 225 if I can! Wish me luck!

Had a good pump at the gym today. For whatever reason, I’m guessing becuase they are a larger muscle group, I am able to get a much better workout on my legs, really able to target them in and go to failure when I need to. Also ran today. Been running about 5 times a week to train for the 8k race in September that is coming up. Can’t wait. Bet I will have some stiff competition form people who are nativly runners and not weight lifter crossovers!

Well I have hit a plateau with my weight gaining. I have been 179 for about 3 days now with no variance. I have recently started taking whey again and that helped for a while. Probably one of the problems that I am dealing with is that it is so darn expensive to eat the food you need to about 5 or 6 times a day. Plus with my jobs I don’t have a lot of time to eat that many meals. Kinda frustrated but I hope my weight will start going up again soon.

Well the other day I did my first photo shoot. A local photographer told me that he would give me a free shoot and exposure if I wanted it. I decided that I had nothing to loose, so I went ahead and did it. Never really thought about myself as model material, but if nothing else it is flattering to know other people might! So we will see what comes of that I guess.
Training for the 8k is coming pretty well. I have a running partner and we completed the course in 50.01 yesterday. All you runners out there will scoff at us for a time like that but you have to understand that we are just breaking into the whole running scene and that seemed pretty good to us. Will continue to train and improve. Got another running session tonight, wish us luck. On the down side the running is spiking my metabolism even more and I am having one heck of a time trying to gain weight (lean mass). Gotta keep eating more I guess.
Hit the gym today and did my flexiblity and abs workout. The routine I am on right now is a powerlifting one and it doesn’t involve a lot of isolation training so I through in some bi and tri exercises today as well.
All in all I am fairly pleased with my progress and appreciate all the support from everyone here on the site!
Cheers~

Wow don’t you just love that feeling when you come back from the gym and know you really laid it on the line for the day? I just got that feeling! Today was a legs day, and I think it is a universal thing for guys that we just don’t enjoy hitting our legs as much as doing our upper body. I decided that with my recent rededication to becoming as fit as possible, I would really start attacking my squat days. Today honestly is the first time in my four years of training that I have went all the way till failure. I usually get pretty close then chicken out one or two reps away. I got an amazing burn and pump which made me feel tired but terrific. Then after my workout I started my first day of training for that up coming 8k I had mentioned in a previous entry. Ran for time not distance today and put in about 45 minutes on the treadmill (darn the thunderstorm outside). My pace partner did track and cross country in high school and is a college volleyball player. Obviously she is in great shape and is pushing me to achieve what she is achieving. I kept up with her all the way today, but tomorrow is interval training and I have never been much of a sprinter. Wish me luck!
Also on another note, my stats on my deadlift and squats may seem like they are taking big swings as far as changes, but that is simply because I don’t usually go all the way to failure like I mentioned earlier. The squat should be accurate now because I went till failure today, but don’t look for accurate deadlift until Friday.
Keep fit~
