YOU LOOK SICK!

Have you ever been in this situation? You’ve worked HARD at the gym for months ,ate right, lost a ton of weight! NICE! ….and you feel great. Then you are appoached by a coworker or a relative. Something like this,"you look sick, are you eating? I mean you look a little thin". "You should eat something ,your getting too skinny"( with a frown). At that point don’t you feel just for a second , Why the hell am i doing this then!  the fact is YOUR CHANGING,and some people aren’t used to other people changing. I warned one of my coworkers about this when he appoached me about loosing weight and getting in shape. I told him"when people see that you are loosing weight ,people sometimes say the wrong things. They will sometimes discourage you from your goals". So be aware of this before you loose weight. These are almost always overweight people. I told him don’t listen to that , just keep going. Sure enought a relative of his ,which just happens to work with him a few things ; " Why are you getting so skinny; are you sick; loosing weight is for 20 year olds, (and yes ,the man was overweight). i told my cowoker  " next time ask him to race you up 6 flights of stairs. Then we’ll see who’s sick. Tell me , has this happened to you?

A comment I have heard is "Getting to thin, can make you look old, don’t go too far!". What? I know I’m overweight, I can stand to lose 30+, but I’m doing this in a healthy way and probably eating at twice the rate (clean, of course). People just don’t understand or want to bring you down b/c of their weaknesses. Know that what you are doing is changing your lifestyle for the better and come back with some positive comment about it, that will usually turn them away.
