Not Bad. Not Badi love pink

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

166.5 Ibs.  (that is a 2 pds loss since my last weigh in) I actually lost weight over a holiday!  How very exciting.  I was going to beat myself up because it wasn’t the rate I wanted but I am going to count my blessings.  I kept my workouts.  I gave in to a few cravings without going overboard.  I ate smart and didn’t feel deprived.  You know what, now that I think about it, I didn’t do so bad.

*Pat my self in the back* Moving on.  Now, let’s see what I can do during this hectic exam week!  Pray for me. ;-)

I need to be 164 by monday morning.  We shall see!

i love pinkOH ya.  As you can see my curiousity got the best of me.  I had to check my weight to know exactly what I was working with.

THIS SHIRT WOULD NOT BUTTON JUST A FEW WEEKS AGO.

Does a speedy recovery mean that my body is adjusting to the workouts?

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

I had a fairly good cardio workout today.  It was so good that 5 mins toward the end of it I feel like I was about to puke.  The most interesting thing though was how quickly I recovered.

I am a little concerned by my speedy recovery.  I amped up my workout because I don’t want to hit a plateau.  I still have a long ways to go.  I have been amping up my workout every week.  I did a different workout over the holiday break because I couldn’t go to the gym.  I ran.  I didn’t think this change will improve my performance because I usually add a good amount of resistance to my regular cardio in order to ensure that I make the best of each workout.  I also do it since I haven’t really started a regular weight training routine.  I want to still build up a bit of muscles while losing fat.

Here is a question.  Does a speedy recovery mean that my body is adjusting to the workouts?  What if I have been making sure to change up my routine each week?  I alternate with HIIT, High resistance, high speed endurance workouts etc.

 Any Suggestions??

A little update

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

I suprised myself this thanksgiving by sticking to my exercise.  I also managed my eating fairly well.  I enjoyed some things without going overboard.  I don’t feel deprived and now I am ready to get back on track, clean things up and see what I can make happen in the next month.

I feel good about my progress.  My clothes are beginning to feel to and some of them I can’t even wear anymore because they are so lose it looks tacky.  My skinny jean are tight as heck but hey at least I can get them on.

I have a feeling that I can make it to 155 pds by the end of the year if I try extra hard.  I will love to be 155 because this will give me that canvas I need to start working on that dream, extra toned, maybe competition body.  I was going to check my weight tommorrow but I think I am going to hold off on that and give myself a week to get back to normal.

I really want this next weigh in to give me some extra motivation to crack down and do some serious work.  I want to be 164/165 by the end of the week.  This will give me that edge because I will only have to lose @ a rate of 3pds/ wk to reach my goal.

We shall see!

Jack in the box new homestyle chicken buscuit!

Sunday, November 23rd, 2008

I woke up by 4am this morning feeling so good, I didn’t know what to do with myself.  If this was my 24hr fitness days, I would so be @ the gym!  Most people don’t know this but,I lose all my inhibitions an hour after I wake up.  This is the time I am most vulnerable.

I decided to visit the different websites I check on a daily basis, facebook, bodyspace, e-mail and when I got to myspace I was confronted with the Jack in the box new homestyle chicken buscuit!

Man, that stuff looked good. I literally wanted to grab my coat and go get it right away (at 4:30am).  You see, I have been eating very right and working out lately and I wake up hungry!  About 30 secs into this feeling of “I am awake, I feel good and I WANT SOME Jack Chicken Buscuit” I realized how this ads really do work.
Needless to say, I just chuckled to myself and decided to write a blog.  Vulnerable or not I am not falling into that trap!  Nice people on bodyspace are tracking my transformation update and I wont jeopardize that.  At least not that easily. :-)

IPODS and workouts

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

First of all I just want to say this site is FREAKING AWESOME!  I haven’t heard so many encouraging words and see so many collections of people willing to be honest about their goals.  I am so impressed!  I usually work out in the evenings but I was so motivated that I worked out this morning.

My iPOD died in the middle of my workout and I noticed my intensity drop by 30%.  I went from enjoying rocking out on the bike to a very dreadfull elliptical workout and the difference was music.  I finished the workout thankfully but, man, it took a lot out of me.

Recording my Progress

Friday, November 14th, 2008

I am excited to actually record my progress.  I hope this will give me that extra motivation to be consistent!  I actually started Oct 1 at an alarming 180 pound.  I got down to 169 by Oct. 22 and somehow managed to go back up to my current weight 173.5.  I would like to be about 158 by Dec. 31.
