Hey Peops,

I just thought I would give you all a little update.  I am currently not as focused as I have been.  Infact, the holidays hae taken over and I am just going to take things slow.  I am also currently in the process of moving to Orange County, CA.  I am moving new years day!  First out of state move for me, very big deal!

I will pick things back up in January.  I will be gym hunting but most likely be sticking with 24 hour fitness.  I will just be looking for a 24 hr gym that has the gym culture I like (ex. lots of body builders, lotsa regulars, good spin classes etc.)  I will be more specifically moving to Cypress, CA so if someone want to recommend a gym location.  Please do!

My next update will be towards the end of January.  I will give myself a month to recover from Christmas sabatage.

<venting begins> 

I did everything right.  Kept my workouts, eat right and lost 0 pds this week.  Sigh*  Oh wells, hoping for a better next week.  School is over so I will be working out at 24hr fitness.  I will add 3 days of spin classes to my routine.  Hope that helps.  I have to be @ least 158.5 by the end of this year.

I realized that I am about the meanest looking chic at the gym especially when I am getting in my cardio!  I don’t talk to anyone, I don’t even notice anyone, I just crank up that music, and go go go.  Sometimes I look up and find someone staring @ me and I just give ‘em a grin and move on.  It must be a funny sight but hey, who care. I am trying to channel all my energy and get what I need to get out.

I must confess: In the last 2 workout the intensity was down on half of the cardio.  I blame yesterday’s on no music.  The workout befor that, no excuse.  Glad I got that off my chest.  lol

I just realized that I will be fasting tommorrow (for Religious reasons not for weighloss) so I decided to update my progress tonight instead of monday morning.  I know that a 24 hr fast on sunday will mess with my weight and will not be a reflection of my progess.

 I am 164.5, that’s a 2 pd weight loss since my last checkin (on monday).  Not bad.

I looked at myslef in the mirror and for some reason I must have expected to see some 135pound fitness model because I started to beat up on myself for what I was seeing.  When I realized what I was doing, I had to chuckle because… I am 165 pounds of course I am not (yet) some small, toned 135pd chic.  I mean what really do I expect??

Sometimes we have to remind ourselves of the reality of where we are and where we are going.  2 months ago I was 181, 3 weeks ago I was 173.  With that said 165 at this point is a good thing.  I am not yet 135 and that is okay.  I cannot be 165 and look 135, that’s not possible.

Perspective is key in transformation!  You have to give yourself the kudo when you’ve earned it.  It is not wise to try to o ahead of yourself and expect something that is just not possible.  If I keep doing what I am doing I will be 135/140 in no time but at this point I am 165 and that is a good thing for where I am.

166.5 Ibs.  (that is a 2 pds loss since my last weigh in) I actually lost weight over a holiday!  How very exciting.  I was going to beat myself up because it wasn’t the rate I wanted but I am going to count my blessings.  I kept my workouts.  I gave in to a few cravings without going overboard.  I ate smart and didn’t feel deprived.  You know what, now that I think about it, I didn’t do so bad.

*Pat my self in the back* Moving on.  Now, let’s see what I can do during this hectic exam week!  Pray for me.

I need to be 164 by monday morning.  We shall see!

OH ya.  As you can see my curiousity got the best of me.  I had to check my weight to know exactly what I was working with.

THIS SHIRT WOULD NOT BUTTON JUST A FEW WEEKS AGO.

I had a fairly good cardio workout today.  It was so good that 5 mins toward the end of it I feel like I was about to puke.  The most interesting thing though was how quickly I recovered. 

I am a little concerned by my speedy recovery.  I amped up my workout because I don’t want to hit a plateau.  I still have a long ways to go.  I have been amping up my workout every week.  I did a different workout over the holiday break because I couldn’t go to the gym.  I ran.  I didn’t think this change will improve my performance because I usually add a good amount of resistance to my regular cardio in order to ensure that I make the best of each workout.  I also do it since I haven’t really started a regular weight training routine.  I want to still build up a bit of muscles while losing fat.

 Here is a question.  Does a speedy recovery mean that my body is adjusting to the workouts?  What if I have been making sure to change up my routine each week?  I alternate with HIIT, High resistance, high speed endurance workouts etc. 

 Any Suggestions??
