Well its been a little while since i wrote in my training log i guess i was waiting to get back on my halodrol! One more week and i am gonna do another cycle. I lost some strength and gained ten pounds on vacation around my waist of course! I dropped 5 so far since i got back from chicago and I should lose the rest within the next couple of weeks. Once I start my next cycle then I should put on a few more inches all around. My Legs are my weak part now. I was doing 405 when i left iraq but i am down to 365 so I am pleased with that. I am gonna change from barbell squats to hack squats for the next six weeks and see how that goes. I will also focus more on my abdominals and get back on the diet also. I proved to myself that you are what you eat gaining that ten pounds but it was worth it!

Well I have two days left in this country and I think I have come a long way. I have reduced my bodyfat to around 15-18 percent in three months and it has been a great ride! I can’t wait to go home and get on a real diet with food that isn’t cooked in all this hydrogenated oil that they use here. I feel so different now….I feel like I control my body and all of my old aches are gone. I feel better and faster than I ever have. Today i set a p.r. on my deadlifts…I tried out my buddy D.J.’s versa grips and I rep’d with 465 on my deadlifts. I am only 35 pounds from my first goal! Wish me luck all.

I started out my weekly shoulder routine with clean and presses and it was not easy! I don’t think I warmed up enough. In two weeks I’ll do a light warm up set first. The rest of the workout was great and in the end the dumbbell shoulder shrugs with the 100’s went really smooth.

Today i incorporated a tri-set and a drop set to my arm workout and it was awesome! My arms were so pumped when i got back to my tent i measured them and they measured a whole inch larger! My triceps are so damn sore! I am gonna have to sleep on a sheet of ice tonight! I did cardio twice today and it was GRUELING! I am so freaking tired…no rest for the man with a goal!

I talked to a friend of mine today and told him what I was doing for cardio and he told me to try keeping my heart rate at 120 for 45 min to get into my fat burning zone. I didn’t know that keeping it at 160-180 was only improving my run and not letting my legs grow. He said that my abs won’t come in unless I changed it up for a while to get that last layer of fat off of my waistline. I had alot of energy today in the gym I think i took to much no xplode cause I have had the runs all day! But I put up alot of weight today adding my arms to my legs day. I am freaking tired!

I got me a trainer/friend now my buddy from KBR is gonna train me to compete he says that i will be ready in about three years so that means next year is not realistic but its all good i really want to do this just once so I can check it off my list of shit i gotta do before i die. I have only two weeks left till I come back from this shit hole and of course the gym is all crowded now with the tourists….I used to be one of them but, not anymore. I broke a p.r. last week I did legs with 405 on my barbell squats so that was pretty cool didn’t think I had it in me….maybe its all the hate in me or maybe the love who knows all I know I am stronger than I have ever been in my life. D.J. wants me to just work on building mass so I get to lift as heavy as I want for a while and thats what I really love about working out. I want to do this naturally thats why he said three years but I will get there i can wait.

I took yesterday off due to work, so today I had plenty of energy….I did chest today and my workout was grueling. I put up 275 today on my last set of barbell bench which was nice. And the rest of my workout went well. I added decline dumbell presses to my chest workout this week, we will see how much that adds to my measurements next week. Two days till i wiegh in and update my measurements again. I am working towards getting an inch back on my chest. And adding a half inch on my arms and forearms. Also, I want to add a half inch to my legs too. Two days ago I did 405 on my last set of squats for 2 reps with a spot. I definately fatigued my legs to failure on that one. I am going to enter the muscletech transformation contest so when i can take the pictures i will post them on my bodyspace. I want that money! And all those supplements would be nice too.

Today after I did my workout, I wanted to see how much I weighed, when i stepped on the scale I did a double take. I lost 13 lbs of fat in one week. I weighed 170 lbs today! I haven’t weighed that much since I was in the Marines. I gained an inch on my shoulders, lost an inch and a half on my waist, gained a half inch on my arms, gained a 1/4 inch on my forearms and a half inch on my neck. I could not believe the results of sticking to the diet and working out so intensely everyday. All the sweat and hours have been worth it.

Today was an awesome arm day, I tried out this new workout to put an additional inch on my arms and it was so hard. I started out doing dumbbell overhead extensions with 75 and it was really light. So, I grabbed an 85 and that was light to. Then, I grabbed a 95 and cruised through my last set of 8. Next week I will start with a 100. Then I moved on to cable kickbacks and then I felt the 95 pounders, I could only do 25lbs for three sets of eight. After that my last exercise was skull crushers superseted with close grip presses and went through three sets each of 8 reps. Then I saw my buddy DJ doing legs and we talked about dieting and getting huge for like 30 minutes. Then i did my cardio. I did 45 min 15 on the spin bike and 30 on the treadmill. Then I saw some guys from my old platoon and we played basketball for like two hours after that. So I definately got my cardio in today! Tomorrow is my back day so i will need my rest tonight.

I did biceps today, it was grueling in the gym. But it was a good workout. I woke up and had a protein shake, so far i have taken in three shakes and two chicken breasts today, which is about 230-250 grams so far, I figure through research online that i need to intake at least 280 grams a day to continue to grow. I can feel my abs now, under a small layer of fat. My love handles are almost gone now from what i can tell. My deadlifts have brought out the seperation of both sides of my back, so I’ll stick with my back workout. The halodrol is really helping my intensity on my major body part days. Today it helped me get through my last exercise fo sho!
