People don't get it...
One thing that I have come to realize is that most people just don't get it. They may totally support you in your endeavor, but they don't get it. They don't understand why we are so committed to the gym...to working out. Why we are so disciplined with our diet. Why on earth we would deprive ourselves of some of the 'food joys' in life. Some people think it's overboard or extreme...maybe obsessive. But I ask, is a guy like Lance Armstrong overboard or excessive in his pursuit of being his personal best. It's a choice we make as athletes, and yes it can effect those around us. But don't you think it's excessive to sit on your ass and watch TV for hours every day? We simply choose to do something that takes serious discipline. Yep...sometimes it hurts, sometimes it sucks. But it is always rewarding! I commend every one of you who stick to your goals; who choose the difficult path over the easy. Stay committed...stay focused...kick ass!
Contest prep
Going to do the NPC Washington State Championships on July 18th. I have cut back my carbs and increased my cardio. I really need to drop fat and get ripped. The big show I am shooting for this year is the Washington Iron Man Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships, which a drug tested national qualifier. Hard work ahead...need focus!
