Young Offenders Given Vitamin Supplements To Cut Violence

"Hundreds of inmates at Scotland’s main prison for young offenders are to be given nutritional supplements in a radical attempt to reduce violence, The Herald can reveal.
Around 500 prisoners at Polmont Young Offenders Institute in Falkirk, along with another 500 in England, are being recruited to a trial aimed at proving that taking a daily vitamin, mineral and fish oil pill can dramatically cut the number of attacks behind bars.
Initial studies have found that assaults in jails have fallen sharply among those receiving doses of extra nutrients."

Ya know…everybody has there own private hell…meaning we all have our demons to deal with. Some of us have kinda made/created our own prison in a way. I think alot of people hurt…but really don’t know how to express it, but rather they choose to burry it deep down within themselves.(especially on how the way our economy has been goin lately on top of so many loseing there jobs, & homes). Now, i am no stranger to the pain & misery to what life can bring upon ones soul…i know that at any given moment, your whole world can be turned upside down!…freedom certainly is not free…& we should never take it for granite,it is certainly a privledge! Having that freedom, we are able to make our choices, weather they be good,,,or weather they be bad…on how to deal with, or see through our private hell…that is our choice to do so. Now i wish this kinda pain & misery on no man. No man should have to endure through so much adversity! I also believe in forgiveness…& that when a man does wrong he is forgiven but must endure the consiquences of his actions…now w/ that bein said, a man is put into a correctional prison facility to reabilitate himself.(of coarse depending on what crime he committed). I could’nt imagine for a young offender how awful this would play on his mental capasity to coform to this type of lifestyle…i say if the nutritional supplements could help significantly reduce the amount radical violence that occurs…then fer Gods sake… why not do it!
