Weight Training For Fat Loss? Awesome News!
I found the following in the current issue of Men’s Health:
"A University Of Washington study found that when men performed three "big" weight lifting exercises (squat, bench, chin-ups, etc.), their metabolisms were elevated for 39 hours afterward. In fact, scientists in the Netherlands calculated that men who lifted weights twice a week for 18 weeks burned an average of 9 percent more calories a day beyond what they expended during exercise… enough to lose 25 pounds in a year."
Woah! So the point is obviously to focus on weight training for losing fat, and also to focus on the bigger compound exercises (using barbells more than machines).

Free weights not only give you the benefit of strenght…. but also balance. No relief point in free weights like machines.
