Keto Journal - Day One Review
So yesterday, 4/27/09, I started my first day of a Keto cycle. I plan on doing a 2 week trial with carb ups to see how I respond to it. Basically 5 days of keto, 2 day carb up.. repeat. Not sure if I totally agree with the type of diet but I’m going to give it an honest shot. My trainer doesnt love the idea of Keto, but I’m lucky to have his opinion and feedback along the way. I know he’ll be honest with me.
Here was my intake for yesterday:
Meal One: 3 eggs, 1/4 C 2% Mexican Cheese Sprinkles, 2 turkey sausage links
Meal Two: 1/4 C fat free cottage cheese, 2 tbsp natural PB
Meal Three: large egg whites (this was post workout, i didnt want to include any fat here)
Meal Four: 5oz. steak, 15 almonds, 1 C cucumber slices with skin
Meal Five: 2 large egg whites, 2 tbsp PB
Meal Six: 2 oz. chicken breast, 2 tbsp cinnamon flax oil, 1 C cucumber w/ skin
Meal Seven: Protein Bar
Meal Eight: 1 tbsp PB
Macros: about 135g fat, 30g carb, 166g protein. I think I want to condense my meals a little, but eating 8 times a day doesn’t bother me so we’ll see.
Workout: Leg day. Didn’t feel fatigued but I’m assuming thats because I still have muscle glycogen stores considering its just day one. I’m waiting to feel that loopy feeling.
Before Bed: Was pretty nauseated, I know if thats common when you suddenly up your fat intake by 100+ grams?
Anyway, that was yesterday, we will see what today brings. Feedback welcomed!

Wow. 8 meals. I’m lucky if i get in 6. So you are doing something right. Great job and keep pumping.
