the good stuff…..

well i’d like to dedicate this blog to all the things that make this whole "getting into shape" thing possible.

1. splenda - god i love splenda.  no calories.  no carbs.  and it works.  i would not be able to eat my oatmeal if it weren’t for splenda.

2. fat free promise butter - again, in the oatmeal.  no fat, barely any calories.  ****in rocks!

3. sugarfree jello - 10 calories!!!!! no sugar, no fat.

4. cool whip free - no fat, a little bit of sugar 3g, freeze it and eat it like ice cream!!! still not great for you, but great for a little cheat here and there.
5. beef jerky - i love me some beef jerky.  97% fat free, 3-5g sugar per ounce(depending on brand), doesn’t go bad, doesn’t need to be refrigerated.  quality protein. ****in rocks!!!!

6. fat free cottage cheese - again, fat free, about 5g sugar per serving, quality protein…and it’s just good!!!!

7. reduced sugar ketchup - gotta have that ketchup…"nothin sets off the flavor of a steak like some ketchup!"  1g sugar per serving…and it actually tastes like ketchup.
8. diet rite cherry cola - no calories, no carbs, no caffeine, NO SODIUM.  in my opinion the best diet soda on the planet.

9. cream of wheat - high quality complex carbs.  VERY filling.  delicious with the fat free butter and splenda.

10. fat free cream cheese - fat free, very little sugar, high quality protein. first two ingredients are skim milk and whey!!!

11. sugarfree smuckers blackberry jam - no sugar carbs, and only 5g carbs per serving. fat free.  perfect if you toast some ezekiel bread, put fat free cream cheese on one slice, and jam on another and put them together!!!
12. sugarfree gum - orbit sweetmint is the shit! i wouldn’t be able to make it throughout the day without this stuff.
13.  wheat pancakes with sugarfree carys syrup - not often because the syrup still has a lot of empty carbs, so cheat day for this one.

14. instant coffee in the chocolate protein shake - just a little bit of instant coffee grinds takes away all nasty protein aftertaste and makes it almost frappaccino..ish.  add splenda mocha flavor to enhance it!!! or hazelnut sugarfree syrup.

15. pure vitargo fruit punch flavor, banana, and berry protein shake - this should be number 1 on the list.  only after workouts because the banana has about 20-25g of sugar.  one scoop of vitargo is 35g of complex sugarfree carbs.  put your favorite berry protein and a bunch of ice, add a little water.  blend and it turns into the best smoothie you’ve ever had.

well that’s about all i got.  if you read this then feel free to let me in on your favorite foods. peace off.

ezekiel bread is a flourless bread. some of the most pure, complex carbs you can get. perfect for toasting, not so much for making sandwiches though. when you eat it, it tastes like you’re actually eating wheat and grains. don’t get me wrong, it’s delicious….as long as you eat it toasted.

my roommate likes to make toasted sandwiches with it, i haven’t tried that just yet.

i need to add a few more things to the list…

    1. naturally more peanut butter - less fat(11g), more protein(10g), less sugar(2g). all natural ingredients…roasted peanuts, wheat germ, flax seed, cane sugar, egg whites, honey, flaxseed oil. and it tastes awesome too.

    2. danon fit&light yogurt - the regular vanilla has only 80 calories to a cup, no fat, and less sugar than skim milk…less calories than skim milk.

    3. danon fit&light fruit yogurt - more calories than regular, but you can get it with strawberries or blueberries. 70 calories per container, but you’re getting some quality carbs from the fruit, just make sure you count them as carbs.

the yogurt is an awesome alternative to pudding, it really kills those cravings i have.

    4. danon active non fat yogurt - thicker than the fit&light and is supposed to help digestive stuff.

    5. diet drinks - diet a&w rootbeer, the BEST diet drink ever. and diet mountain dew, i don’t even like mountain dew but its another one of those diet drinks that don’t taste diet. on the bottom of the list…diet dr. pepper, disgusting.

    6. splenda is still the BEST!

    7. skim milk. especially if you can find some with extra protein in it. 13g of sugars, but it’s lactose and very low glycemic.

that’s all i got, if i think of some more i’ll add it later.
