Balance

Why do I put my body through all the pain?  It’s not for the glory of winning a competition.  One of these days, I will compete in a NPC event.  It’s not to impress my friends at my twentieth high school reunion.  It’s not even to get the looks and complements from the ladies.

There is an inner drive that keeps me coming back to the gym each day to pound my body into submission.  I feel so spiritually accomplished when I exceed goals that I had set for myself.  The high I get is unexplained.  No one can get the same high as I do.  I get excited to watch someone male or female push themselves at the gym or on the track.  As I inspire myself these people inspire me also.

My body and my mind are few of the things on this earth that no one can control.  Some may have influences over my body and or mind, but I am in complete control.  I am the one that make the final decision.

When I am exercising, I feel as if I am balancing the harmony between mind and body.  The two must work together for balance to be achieved.  I look for inner spiritual strength to give me the physical strength I need to accomplish the transformation of my body into a beautiful art.  My mind strengthens my body and my body strengthens my mind.  If the balance is not achieve then nether will be in complete harmony with each other or by its self.

So as you see me in the gym or walking about town, just remember I am in complete balance with my mind and body. That is why you see the physical results and can feel the spiritual energy that I give off.
