Balance

August 20, 2009

Why do I put my body through all the pain?  It’s not for the glory of winning a competition.  One of these days, I will compete in a NPC event.  It’s not to impress my friends at my twentieth high school reunion.  It’s not even to get the looks and complements from the ladies.

There is an inner drive that keeps me coming back to the gym each day to pound my body into submission.  I feel so spiritually accomplished when I exceed goals that I had set for myself.  The high I get is unexplained.  No one can get the same high as I do.  I get excited to watch someone male or female push themselves at the gym or on the track.  As I inspire myself these people inspire me also.

My body and my mind are few of the things on this earth that no one can control.  Some may have influences over my body and or mind, but I am in complete control.  I am the one that make the final decision.

When I am exercising, I feel as if I am balancing the harmony between mind and body.  The two must work together for balance to be achieved.  I look for inner spiritual strength to give me the physical strength I need to accomplish the transformation of my body into a beautiful art.  My mind strengthens my body and my body strengthens my mind.  If the balance is not achieve then nether will be in complete harmony with each other or by its self.

So as you see me in the gym or walking about town, just remember I am in complete balance with my mind and body. That is why you see the physical results and can feel the spiritual energy that I give off.

New Workout Program Update

January 25, 2009

I have been working on a new exercising program for about 3 weeks now.  I must say, that I have felt significant improvements in the amount of reps I am getting on each major areas of my body.  I fine it that I have more time to concentrate in the areas that I want to hit that day and have extra time left over for cool downs and stretching.

I wanted to change my program because I felt that I was not getting the reps that I wanted on my biceps and triceps.  I felt that I was not getting reps in the time frame that I give myself for my workouts.

Each workout I am getting a stronger and more efficient workout.  I leave the gym physically exhausted.  That is the feeling of success I like.  More progress pictures to come to update my results.

New Workout Program

January 12, 2009

Last week, I started a new workout program.  For the longest times, my workout has been consistent as to working the same body groups together.  I have been thinking for some time on how to change it up.  I wanted to get the maximum results in a 2 hour period of time.  That is about all the time I have to train each day.

My old routine consist of Chest, Front Shoulders, Triceps and Abs together.  Back, Back Shoulders, and Biceps together and Legs.  This was effective but I notices that I had little time for the Arms part of my works.  I wanted to have more time for my arms in the limited time that I have for workouts.

The new change I made was Chest, and Front legs one day.  Back and Back part of legs the next day. Then do Shoulders, Triceps, Biceps and Calves one day.  I do abs every other day. So that is three times per week at about 20 to 30 minutes.  Days I am not doing abs, I do cardio.

So the New schedule looks I this:

Monday: Shoulders, Triceps, Biceps Calves and Abs(heavy)

Tuesday: Chest, Quads and cardio (heavy)

Wednesday: Back, Hamstrings, Gluts and Abs (heavy)

Thursday: Shoulders, Triceps, Biceps, Calves, Cardio(sculpting)

Friday: Chest, Quads, Abs (Sculpting)

Saturday: Back, Hamstrings, Cardio (Sculpting)

Sunday:  My Full body rest and recovery day.

Heavy days, I am trying to push a lot of weights to get mass.  Sculpting days, I drop the weight to about 60% if max to get in a lot of reps for toning and definition.

Each day I maintain a strict diet with minimum fat, salt, and sugar as possible.  Sunday’s I allow myself a few goodies but not too much.  Do want to ruin the progress I am making.

Welcome!
