Let me read the following, every time I visit my bodyspace:

Everyone has abs, it’s just a matter of getting yourself in a condition to where they show the best. Proper diet and exercise to decrease your fat % will help your abs show as much as possible. You can do a million crunches a day and it will not help decrease your fat % in your stomach area. You need to make sure that you working out all the large muscle groups in your body, ie. chest, back, shoulders, arms, and most forgotten about legs. Make sure you are also doing just as much intense cardio as you do strength training. Following these tips will really help your abs pop out more and more each week.

As far as isolating certain area’s of the abs, I always start out by doing full blown situps, lots of them. They work out the entire middle region of your abs as well as hip flexors. Lower abs are worked by doing leg lifts and reverse crunces. Simple crunches and toe touches work the middle region. For the upper abs, suspended knee ups and doing crunches by lying down and holding your arms straight out over your head help work the upper region of your abs.
