feeling better

i didn’t completely get over my fever until wednesday… but then my lil one caught what i had.  :(   she’s better now of course, but it set me back in P90x.  tomorrow, i’ll be starting phase 2 since i didn’t get to last week. :p

we were given friday off as a family day for memorial day weekend, but i had to go into work anyway.  the plan was to try and get things done by lunch…. but we stayed longer than expected.  we didn’t get out of there until about 1430, leaving me no time to go grocery shopping with my lil one before i had to drop her off with my ex.  i ended up going after i dropped her off (LONG 4 hours of driving ugh) and got home too late to even do a lite work out.

yesterday i was released from on call around lunch time so i was able to get to the gym.  i did arms and chest and felt GREAT afterwards.  today i’ll be doing back and legs.

being sick sucks…..

i got home yesterday and started feeling even more exhausted and dehydrated.  i couldn’t figure out what was wrong so i decided to take it easy. 

usually, i can tell when i’m about to be sick.  i "carry" my sickness in my lower back; start to have an unbelievable pain and can’t even numb it with medication.  i had an inkling that i was going to have something being that it was a cool 78° in the house and i was cold.  all i could think about was getting into the shower and putting the water as hot as i could bear. 

i had a temp of 100.6, not bad, but it got worse throughout the night.  tossing and turning because i was hot and then cold again…

i hope that i work out today.  definitely feeling better than last night, but a bit exhausted. :(

updated stats for P90x

so i did my measurements and it’s progress, but a lil discouraging.  i’ve managed to lose inches all over except for my forearms- they gained an inch.  what’s discouraging?  i was hoping i lost more inches around my waist and thighs, but like dan says, it’s still progress.  i was shocked that i lost almost an inch around my calves, but he tells me that it means i’m leaning out.  i hope that’s the case. 

 today starts phase 2.  i think i’m gonna double up on videos on days that i don’t have cardio so that i actually have a cardio session (ex, tomorrow is shoulders and arms and i’ll just do a cardio video in the morning).  i’m doing pretty good about my diet, hopefully dan will have some ideas of how i can improve that more.  it’ll be a whole lot easier when he moves out here in that dept considering he’s got his down.

well, one more hour of work and then it’s time for my workout.

Phase 1 almost complete

Sunday will be the last day of phase 1 for P90x.  i can see that i’ve lost some inches, but unsure about weight.  kinda nervous about weighing in on friday.  :p 

so far, i’m really happy with P90x.  the routine are fun and i get a great work out from them.  ab ripper x still kicks my ass, but i can feel my midsection grow stronger being that each time i do it, i’m able to hang with him more and do more of the reps. LOL

i’m gonna try to update more with phase 2……….

the ab ripper x left me sore all over.  don’t think i’ve ever had my sides sore before, a good sign that i don’t work them out enough. :(

did kenpo x today and was sweatin like crazy!  i’m really liking p90x……

hope i keep it up for the whole time. *crosses fingers*

p90x

wheni got home from work yesterday i was surprised to find a box by the door- P90x.  bebe surprised me and bought it for me.  (thanks bebe!)  i told him that i was trying to get back into slim in 6 since i had it for so long and decided 2 weeks before to bring it back out and try it out again.  he mentioned p90x and that he kept hearing a lot of good reviews for it.  he supports me in any and everything i do when it comes to staying in shape-and he’ll pay for it as well.  i told him i’d eventually look it up but that i didn’t really think i’d look into trying it out since it beachbody products are so expensive.  i had lost the first dvd for slim in 6 but was able to download it from the internet and watch it that way.

after looking through the box and reading through the guide, i decided on trying the p90x classic program.  after talking more with dan, i changed to the p90x lean program.  i popped in the first disc for the program- core synergistics.

i must say i am impressed and i had fun with that disc.  he is much more entertaining than debbie siebers and the work outs change up so fast that i don’t pay attention to the time remaining in the set like i do in slim in 6.

tonight is day 2- cardio x.  i hope he doesn’t kick my ass…. LMAO

day 1….

gotta start all over again since i haven’t been able to do more than a week’s worth of training.  had to take a break because of preparing for an inspection at work from nov-jan, then feb had a big change over in our system (i.e. a lot of overtime at work again), and then last month was getting back into a reg schedule and then a lil vacation with the honey.  so NOW i am able to try and start up cardio and weights again.  oh, that was the other thing too, not being able to do any cardio (except walking) for a few months because of my knee. i had knee injections done, so hopefully it helps me out….  we’ll see though.  this week will be the test.

DAYAM!

i have been MIA for 2 months from my blog! :eek: !!!  time to get back on the saddle!  october was up and down for me in the gym, and november didn’t start out so well, but now that things are FINALLY better in the work area of my life, i can finally focus more on me!  yay! :)   yea, it got so bad that i just didn’t have the energy to go to the gym.  yea, i know… excuses, excuses, but it really was bad and brought me down a lot. 

 

BUT…..

 

things can now go back up.  :D   my biggest prob area is cardio.  weights was never a problem for me, and this morning i did chest and tri and it felt great.  i know my body will be sore tomorrow, but it still felt great hitting the weights HARD again.  cardio… i’ll only be doing walking/eliptical because i’m still having bad right knee problems.  :(   i won’t let it get in my way though! :D

oh sh!t!  my body is gonna hate me tomorrow!  i missed some lift days last week so i made up for it today and i feel great!!! but at the same time, i’m aching and i know my body will hate me tomorrow.  lol  i combined legs and bis today.  WHOA!  lol  i took updated pics of my calves today because i can see/feel the progress i’m making in my legs.  sweet!! 

i got updated pics from the lover (xdxaxnx)!  good god, i miss my man!  hehehee  his back looks amazing!  i can see a huge difference compared to before he deployed!!!  he sent me pics so i can update his page and guess what??

 awwww!!!  how awesome is that?  well screw you if you don’t think it is, i do!  :D   i love you baby!

 alright, i need to shower since i didn’t as soon as i walked in the door!  good thing he stopped emailing otherwise i’d never get into the shower! haha

i feel good.  i did my workouts this week and i can feel the strength coming.  with each rep, i notice that i have to up the weight for the rest of the sets.  :) my bebe would be so proud!  the definition in my biceps haven’t changed much, but they’re a lot firmer than they used to be.  hehehe

my quads are looking better as well.  bebe and i were on web cam tuesday night i think and i was showing him that i was starting to get definition in my tris.  i thought he was going to laugh at me, but he just told me he was proud of me.  ;)    

now, if only i could get back on track with my cardio… lol  i’m most likely gonna pick up some amp tomorrow to take for cardio (gotta discuss with the mister for best time).  he had me try it when i was last with him and i liked the way it gave me energy unlike the other meds i used to take for the same affect.  :(   but yea….
