Insanity- Day 7

I’m constantly sore.  Not a good sore either.  With P90X, the burn I’d feel the next day was… motivating.  I was feeling good after each workout, feeling stronger, seeing progress. The sore I feel with Insanity is almost discouraging.  My legs are constantly shaking when it comes to stairs or anything that involves squatting and jumping.  :p  OK, so maybe discouraging isn’t the word.  Maybe intimidating.  P90 was intimidating, but after you got the routines down, you could get into a groove and push yourself more with each work out.  I feel like I could give up after the warmup.

I know, it’s early, hasn’t even been a month yet but damn.  I at least like being able to keep up and push through the whole friggin routine with minimal rests.  Can’t do that with Insanity since you’re constantly moving.  I don’t think I’ll ever like that I start to sweat before stretching begins.  And Cardio Recovery day?  **** that.  Recovery should not even be in the name for that.

I will say that the biggest thing I am not satisfied with is the stretching.  I miss Tony’s stretching.  Insanity has you doing the same damn stretches no matter what the work out (yea, i know they’re mainly cardio) but he doesn’t take to time to really stretch the back or the shoulders and you’re using them a lot in the work outs.  "TIGHTEN UP THE CORE!" and yet he doesn’t really take care of the core during cool down.

My back feels like complete ****-tight and everything.  I think we’re gonna look into getting massages this weekend.
