Today a guy at work with man boobs told me my all white meat turkey burger (made out of 100% white meat I ground myself) was unhealthy. No no, he was serious. I didn’t really have a response and if I did, I probably wouldn’t have wasted it on him.
Got a bike and I’ve been cycling to work! I love it and its such good exercise. This morning it was pissing down rain but I made it! It takes me about an hour each way and as London is pretty hilly its great cardio both ways! I love spending less time in the gym on that boring old treadmill! Tomorrow I’m off to the bike shop for some lights and a super cool reflective vest. Its getting dark early!

The comp in May was a really great experience but I’ve decided not to do the final in November. I really need to put on some mass if I want to compete again because I’m not blind, my muscles are puny!
After working so hard to get lean (and discovering how itty bitty my muscles were) I’m having a really hard time with the bulking bit. My diet is fine. I eat pretty clean the entire week and give myself a cheat meal or 2 per week and even though i’m not fat I feel fat compared to what I was and I’m having trouble coming to terms with that. It was really nice to be that lean and I wish I could be like that all the time and still build muscle….and then if I could win the lottery, that would be great too!
Anyway, hopefully by next spring I will have put on some good lean mass and I can hit the stage again. I just can’t wait for winter so I can hide under some bulky clothes!

Can you please not do this? I know I’m a strong girl but at 6am I have a hard time removing 6, 20 kg plates off the bar that is racked up higher than my head.
Message to the man who watches me remove these plates…
Can you please help me next time? You watch me struggle with them but you never offer to help. Why? I’m a nice girl and I promise I’ll say thanks.

I have a big bloated belly from all the chocolate cake I just ate. Do I feel guilty? Nah. Had a great week of workouts. I’ll throw in some extra cardio tomorrow.

Yummy breakfast in my tummy.
1/3 cup oats
1 scoop choc protein powder
1 tablespoon organic peanut butter
1/4 cup skim milk
little bit of splenda
Had a great workout today! 45 minutes of butt kickin’ cardio. TVs at the gym weren’t working but I jammed out to a new album I downloaded. Urban something or other. I have no soul but I like to pretend I do. go white girl! go white girl!
Trained back and it is growing!!! This is a good thing. I’m loving it. I’ve had problems with motivation lately but that stems from some issues I’m having at work. I need to get over it. Training makes me happy.
Going on vacation next week so there you go! Let’s lose a pound or two before that, shall we?

I have a confession to make to those of you who don’t know me. I’m a total Debby Downer. I have lived my life with this "why me?" mentality, always feeling the victim. blah blah blah. I don’t know why i’m like this, I just am. Actually, I used to be on anti-depressants and have panic attacks and I can thankfully say that getting fit has ended that chapter of my life and for the most part, I feel happy.
I got this book on using law of attraction and positive thinking to make good things happen. Apparently, you have to put good mojo out in the universe and it attracts all the good crap back to you. If you focus on what you want, you’ll get just that and vice versa. For example; You need to say, "I want to be lean" not "I don’t want to be fat" because being fat is a negative thought. That easy…COOL….let’s get started…
I want to…
…be lean/strong/muscular/fit
…be athletic
…travel the world
…have a huge savings account
…own a really nice house
…have a great marriage
…be surrounded by amazing, supportive friends
There you go…it’s out there…in the universe….
