I have been doing good with the whole dieting thing, and even better with taking all my supplements on time. However I have been sick the past 3 days with some bullshit head cold. Anyways since I have been pretty consistant with my eating healthy and lifting consistantly….I am very intersted to see my gains. I can definitely see an increase in my forearms, and biceps but am curious about my chest, and neck. Not too worried about my calves, or my thighs cause they are already large. We shall all see tomorrow when I post some new stats on my space.

so last night at ju-jitsu we had a new guy come in and, he was a prior wrestler, so I figure he had some of the techniques down, and a few moves…maybe I could learn a thing or two. Well, I learned that he whips his legs around really quick and I ended up taking a knee to the side of my jaw….not cool….we are just training it wasn’t a fight. Didn’t daze me at all, which was a little surprising, but it did cut up the inside of my mouth pretty good. Ended up being a stalemate…. anyways the rest of the night went well, although I didn’t submit not one person all night….just gained dominant position and sat and held it….was working on my balance and my tenchnique to get into a different submission. Worked out alright and I think I got a little more of the balance thing down.

Alright yet another bitch/moan….it seems that all I can as of late is get my ass kicked. Anyways learning a new little toss/hold last night in ju-jitsu and I got hip tossed onto an elbow. I didn’t land akward or anything just fell right onto that elbow. I stood up, and had to go to my knees….couldn’ breathe. I am still having trouble breathing, especially taking deep breaths….I am going to give it a day and see what happens. Then if I still hurt tomorrow I will have to see the doc. Damn that would be my second visit since I have been to this shit hole called Iraq. So needless to say even though I had plenty of energy when I first went to class and usually have plenty to get a short workout in afterwords. It was a definite NO GO last night, especially since I wanted to make my shoulders look like boulders. Ohh well, looks like I am goign to be taking it easy tonight too once I get off work and hit the gym. More annoying than anything, considering I have some nice progress going on. We will see how it goes tonight…I will post again tomorrow to keep everyone updated.

No lifting yesterday, cause I participated in a 4 person team at least 1 female mystery fun run…ran by the army. So needless to say I didn’t eat dinner, and was a little nervous to see if I could actually keep up with the rest of my team. well I did….did you really doubt my skills…and we ended up getting second place. We only lost by a smidgen and it was cause it was a run/scavenger hunt combined and we had some serious trouble finding one of the clues. Anyways the run turned out not to be that far….2 miles, I think it took more time answering the questions and finding the sheets of paper with the clues.. Anyways that will be the last time I skip out on dinner before a "mystery run" We are supposed to end up getting a day off of work for getting second….a day off work is worth a lot around here, considering everyone is supposed to work 12 hrs a day 7 days a week. Anyways I thought I would share how it was…. fun times….

Alright all, the day yesterday ended up being alright, with some encouragement from a few other posters. I had a nice chest workout, doing some pretty serious sets…almost failed one set, but pushed through. Tonight is BACK/BIs and I am looking to get a new deadlift max. my back was messed up a little bit, just a small tweak about a week ago now from getting slammed in ju-jitsu. I know I got tossed like a rag dog, but I ended up getting him with a tap out. I plan on starting like this…pull ups/deadlift/seated rows/bent over rows/lat pull downs/lower back extensions/then prolly some reverse flyes. After that I plan on moving on to the BIs with some precher curls/then hammer curls/then prolly move to the cables for some reverse grip curls, then after that do some chins to failure. So it looks like it is going to be a decent workout, now that I have a new workout partner. That adds a little extra motivation since the last one wasn’t so encouraging, but hey I tried. Might even add some forearms to the end of the workout but it all depends on what time i get out of work tonight. I have to stay later every Sat and Monday nights for a brief I have to give at changeover to some leadership folks downstairs. Ahhh….what a pain in the butt….get to work at 0630 then not leave till nearly 2000 at night….such crap sometimes, but it makes the time go by that faster so it is good in some ways.
I am looking forward to tomorrow so I can’t wear myself out too much. I have signed up for a "mystery" fun run. So I have no clue how long, and what not. I am not a big distance runner but I can usually hang with the pack. Hopefully it isn’t too too bad….I wouldn’t want to drag down the other members of my team. All I know is that if we win and get 1st palce….I get a whole day off….that will be my first day off since….jeeze July…wow. Fun times.

Well, all was great last night, went to Ju-Jitsu had a great time, then came my leg workout….sheesh… talk about tiring. I got up some decent weight, but I was really tired…I mean really tired. I did it right after ju-jitsu so was already worn down. anyways, got back to my CHU feeling alright, had a shake then did the nightly routine of shower/shave….come back to the room and sleep. Got up, feeling tired as all get out, but things were still alright. On my way to work, I always stop to grab some breakfast at the DFAC….well first morning EVER I had to wait in line just to get into the building…seriously. that was the start of the annoying day today, then i get here….check my e-mails. Well, some good ones and some bad ones…well not really bad just not what I wanted to see. Anyways…it is still really early in the day so hopefully, just hopefully my day might turn around here pretty soon.

Hi all, after a decent workout yesterday for my back and arms….I decided to give the eliptical a go. Well, a couple of guys at work were talking about how the Cascade hill setting is harder than kilimenjaro. So I did it, for 30 mins on level 12. First mile was just over 5 mins and I was dying…my chest hurt so freaking bad…but I continued on. I didn’t stop hurting until about min 13 I think is when my mind went kind of numb to the hurt and got a second wind. Anyways I ended up going for 30 mins and got 5.2 miles. So yeah that is about it… I was pretty stoked about that but dead tired. Fun times though, and got a new PR so that was nice. Anyways I will keep everyone posted with what is going on…tonight I got Ju-Jitsu so hopefully I don’t get tossed to the ground.

Alright yesterday was my birthday….27 years old….I know old man huh. Anyways I was at Ju-Jitsu like normal, but today we learned a few different throws…I know I am still a newbie but I definitely try. Anyways we were learning almost like a wrestling technique bear hug deal, anyways…I got locked into it, tried to break but it was too late. I was in the air flat as can be at my oponents waitline….about to be slammed….luckily for me, he turned away from me a bit trying a little different technique. Regardless, I got slammed HARD but I also got his neck, nearly a choke out on the fall, until I hit that is. I lost all my breath….but managed to hang on somehow. Anyways I ended up getting the submission but paid the consequences of going against someone larger than myself, and stronger. The only real advantage I have is speed with the guys I go up against. Anyways….things are going good with the new goal of really shredding my abs up. After Ju-Jitsu I ran for 3 miles on the tredmill in just under 20 mins, then started my stomach routine. Switched it up a little today, and went with the 4 sets of hanging leg curls 15 reps, then to the side hanging leg raises with 6 sets at 10 reps each, then 3 sets of planks 1 min each 1 min rest front, side, side. Needless to say I am hurting and feeling pretty old this morning. We shall see how I feel tomorrow. I think I am just a little sore from being slammed and then sleeping on it, just got stiff. Anyways thought I would update all with how I was doing.
