Day 3

Alright, so today I decided to switch things up a little but and see how I felt taking Karbolyn pre w/o -vs- post. I have to say I think I acually like this better. First I downed Nitro Fire (N.O. product, nothing special) and I chased it with Karbolyn 30min pre workout. I noticed about half way through my workout I was feeling really good and pretty full half way through my workout.

I’ll keep pushing the weights hard and see if there are any changes in this 30day trial.

Day 2 - Pure Karbolyn Review

Day 2 - Legs

Today it was time to do some major work on my legs. I’m just getting over an injury that had me down for a few months so I was pretty excited to be able to do squats again

Here’s my list of events:

0400 - Wake
0415 - Ate Banana, down Nitro Fire (N.O. product) drank 1/2 cup coffee
0430 - Hit the weights
10min prior to my session ending I mixed Karbolyn with the last 10oz of Xtend I had in my shaker bottle. It actually didn’t taste too bad, the only thing different this morning was an slight increase in my heart rate. I didn’t feel as if I was swelling up anymore than I already was but I will still continue to pay close attention to my body’s reaction.
30min post workout - Homemade “Muscle Shake” (1Banana, 2tbsp PB, 1.5 scoop WPI, ice).

I will chart my growth (if any) every 3-4 days. Hopefully something interesting will happen….

Stats

OK here are my stats measured pre-workout:

Arms - 16" (I know, small but growing!)

Legs - 26"

Waist - 31.5"

Calves - 16"

Chest - 43" (could be off by an inch or so)

Tomorrow I’m working on my Wheels! I still plan on taking 50g Karbolyn 10min prior to completing my workout. __________________

Ok, I normally do a 2 on 1 off schedule. This post happens to start on my actual “Day 2″ so today is a scheduled off day for me. I plan hitting the pavement and running 2miles + stairs. Again, when my forgetful @ss settles down I will load my before pics. My main goal is to put on quality lean mass until I begin my precontest phase. Not sure if one should try to cut with this stuff?

The workout:

Upper Back/ Triceps

Pre-workout: 25g Whey Isolate + 1cup Oats blended with 1/2 water 1/2 soy milk + 1Tbsp PB

During: 3 scoops Xtend

Post: 10min prior to finishing my workout I took in 50g Pure Karbolyn

Review: The taste was surprisingly good and mixed well. I had a really good workout so I was feeling really pumped prior to taking Pure Karbolyn. I didn’t feel much different but that was expected. I think I will measure myself weekly to chart any gains.

Offseason Diet sample:

Pre - 25g WPI + 1 cup oats + 1Tbsp PB
Post - 50g Karbolyn (10min b4 ending workout) 25g WPI (20min after workout)
Meal 1 - 3 whole eggs + 1oz cheese + 1 cup steamed corn (frozen pieces)
Meal 2 - Tuna (28g protein) + 1/2cup white rice
Meal 3 - Talipia (2 pieces) + Broccoli + 1 cup steamed corn + Broccoli
Meal 4 - Tuna (19g Protein) + 1/2 cup Almonds
Meal 5 - Chicken tenderloins (10oz) + 1/2 cup white rice + Broccoli
Meal 6 - Muscle shake! (WPI + PB+ 1 Banana + 1/2oats + 1/2 water 1/2 soy milk
Sleep, sh*t, repeat….

Supplement Review

OK, so lately I have been doing A LOT of research on the whole Waxy Maize/ Vitagro/ Karbolyn controversy and I decided to lay my personal confusion to rest by testing out Pure Karbolyn!

I’ve tried Waxy Maize in the past and I’ll be the first to honestly tell you that product aint SH*T! Seriously, I felt no different, gains never changed and "YES" it looked like corn starch (lol). I felt a little stoopid after some product reps have called this out.

N/e way, just for FYI purposes I have not received anything free nor am I here to suck up to any supp reps @ss. I will give credit if credit is due but I will be completely honest with my feedback to hopefully help out others who will follow this blog.

Here’s my game plan:

I will post as much as possible when I use the product.
I will take in 50g Pure Karbolyn during last 10-15min of my workout.
I will ingest 25-30g Whey Protein Isolate 20min POST workout.
I will take pics and upload videos when I can.

I understand there are no "Miracle" Supps and I am aware supps are just training aides to help high intensity athletes reach another level.

I just overcame some injuries that had me down for a few months but now I am feeling good and ready to build myself back up.

Alright w/o further delay, LET’S CRANK THIS SH*T OUT BABY!!!!

Snow Treading

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

Today was my HARDCORE cardio day, I decided to strap on my flak vest and I loaded my duffel bag with clothes, boots, books etc(roughly around 60lb) and I hit the snowy hills behind my house!  Initially I planned on doing 20sprints up hill and after the first brutal hill I decided 5 hills would be enough–lol  I was able to squeeze out 10 solid hills with all that weight on my back!  I feel great right now, just downed 40g of protein and I am craving for some eggs right about now :D   I’ll wait about an hour and throw on 4-5 whole eggs w/ tomatoes and a few small red potatoes….
