Wow!

I totally BLASTED my legs this morning by switching up just afew things! On leg press I alternated a narrow and wide stance completing a full range of motion on each rep. To me, this morning, every rep counted! Man did I feel it. From there I hit some stiff leg dead lifts follow by Smith machine step ups! This really worked my Hams! I kept one foot on the box and one on the ground, I lounged as deep as I could for a full stretch and I exploded up on the box with 185 on my back! I felt great!

Also my wife has been hardcore on her new diet/exercise program and she has lost 6lbs and 2 1/2" off her waist in just a week! I think it was due time for her to lose weight! After our second child shes been holding steady weight around 180 or so (She wont tell me) and she is extremly motivated! I love it!

Looks like I’ve finally gathered a hardcore team! We’re actually a mixture of bodybuilders and powerlifters and a few who arenew to the game and are trying to find were they fit. I’m really Amped about this because I know with a few others I’ll stay motivated! Nothing is finalized though, I have set up a time for all of us to get together and see where we plan to had with all of this. I also realized I NEED a traning partner…I can lift so much more than I do but keep the weights limited for saftey reasons…

My ultimate plan is to take other regions of Japan by storm and bring home the gold! It doen’t matter if I win or otherson my team, it’ll feel just as good knowing someone I worked with took the show. Of course winning myself would be even sweeter!

Time to get busy!

Today i’m blasting shoulders and traps, just woke and I’m feeling really AMPED this morning, haven’t even taken my morning "Wake me up" supps yet! So far it’s looking like my numbers may jump up, I’ll post results from this mornings workout as soon as I get back.

Nice Pump

Back and Tris today, workout went better than expected (which seems to happen a lot). I beat some old numbers and my back and tris really felt swollen afterwards!

 Thought of the Day: Fat bruners aren’t worth "SH&%" I’ve tried plenty of them and none of them give HALF the results promised. Now I’m not saying they don’t work but they truly do very little. I also noticed on the forums everybody that has journals on supps they are testing are ver inaccurate. If you pay attention they all increase their cardio or add extra training days to their regular workout program and I notice most ofthem really clean up their diet…With this said they are bound to lose weight with or without a magic weight loss pill. Tom Vento says it best "Fat burners are only good for 3% of your results". With that said I made up my mind to exclude fat burners in my contest prep.

Training: I’m really focusing on intense/ controlled reps—I’m truly taking "Every rep counts" to heart!

What I did (Final sets only):

Straight arm pull downs: Rack X 8 @ 2sets

Wide pull downs: 210 X 6 @ 2sets

Hammer reverse grip lat pull downs: 3plates ea X 4 @ 2sets (Tight squeeze at the bottom)

Tricep cable over head extension:70 X 10 @ 2sets/ drop down to 60X10

Bwt Dips: 10reps X 3 sets

1 arm D-ring pull down: 35X10 @ 3sets

Torn Bicep…

Not me (Thank the Lord) but unfortunatly a pretty cool guy tore his bicep tonight at our powerliftng competition. I think he actually took second place, I applauded him for completing his finally lift, we heard it tearing before he even stood upright (sucks).

As far as I go I won my weight class! Wife and kids were al there which I believe gave me a little extra surge :)   My oldest one would flex her little arms and say "Errrrrrr" everytime I finished a lift ..hahahaha. We had to do Bench press and Dead Lifts and I did "ok" on the bench…I’m actually not a great bench presser at all. Some of you may laugh but I failed at hitting 365lbs…Yup, I thought I had it, it felt real light but I didn’t have the extra "Umph " in me. I didn’t tell my wife but I wasn’t wearing a belt and I felt this crazy pain in my lower back after the failed attemped. I’m sure if I worked on my bench for a few months I would hit it easily but right now my main goal is bodybuilding and I perfer DB presses over benching when shaping my body. On the D-Lifts I hit 435lbs! Which was a PR, I nevr go too heavy on Deadlifts because I focus on form and intensity, 1 rep maxes aren’t in my program, I have no need for them but it’s nice to know I can probably do more than 435!

Well time to rest, gotta get up early to  prep food for the rest of the week!

Finally I’m starting to see the growth in my legs that I’ve been waiting for since July of last year! It took a lot of time and patience and plenty of experimenting to get these bad boyz to grow. I thought I tried everything but of course that wasn’t the case. I really slowed down on the momentum on my reps and I added the exercise bike to my program. It seems as if I really struck gold! I’m still eating BIG and training HEAVY! My co-workers still have their little side jokes and comments and I know its all out of love but Im not letting anything bother or distract me….

Well it’s been a short while since I last blogged, just a quick update onFYRE: I’m off! I decided to get off the supp, not sure if its jut me or if it was the supp but I can’t keep using something thats making me sick. I think I’ll leave the whole "Fat Burner" thing for the birds and I’ll stick to the good ol’ skool balls to the walls training and eating! I just posted a new pic of myself, still trying to keep my BF down while bulking… So far I’m not doing too bad of a job, I started at 174 and I’m now weighin around 190-195.
