Hittin it HARD!!!

Alright IronHeads, today is the begining of my HIGH rep month! That’s right, Dec. I’m lowering the weights just enough to hit 10-15 reps on every set! If I go any higher than 15reps the weights are too light, and nobody grows on light weights!

Todays workout: I Blasted Shoulders and Traps that looked a little like this….(I’m only listing final sets)

Smith Barbell Shrugs: 275 X 12      Lat raises/ Front raises - 30X 10 (Super set)

1arm Rear Delt Raise: 30X 15         Arnold Presses: 35 X 12

By my last exercise my Shoulders were on FIRE! I haven’t done more than 10 reps of anything in the past 2months! and the intensity really Shock my muscles! I think I’ll post a few shoulder pics on my profile tonight.

Yesturday

Man did I BLAST my legs on Squats yesturday!!! I have no idea where I got my energy from but right from the start of getting under that bar my heart start beatin like a drum! It was crazy! I work my way up to 345lb for 5 deep Squats and finished the torture on my legs with 20reps of 225lb! I made sure I felt each rep and I had to go deep or they didn’t count in my mind…Hard Core Baby

Couldn’t wait….

For some reason I had energy thriving inside me this evening…I had to get back in the gym and bust out 30min HARD minutes of nothing but blood pumping sets! Man It felt great! I don’t always get this feeling but I’m glad I hit the gym when the mood came around! I posted a few new pics on my profile check em out….I mainly blasted my back and that SH&% felt GREAT!!!

Injury???

Today I hit my Biceps, Hams and Delts….It wasn’t my strongest day but It wasn’t too bad either…This morning I was running real late but I knew I HAD TO make it in the gym….I hate lifting on limited time! ArrrrggHHHH I hate it! I really didn’t take the time to warm up (which I should’ve) and I started blasted my muscle cold…Luckly I didn’t hurt anything too bad but when I was finishing my workout with front DB raises I strained my back…It sucked! But that comes with the territory sometimes…..I was hitting 40lbs one arm at a time and  felt a real bad pull in my shoulder blade near my rear delt…It felt crazy! Of course I laid off the exercise, tested out a few lat raises and left. I’m pretty sure a good bath in some epson salt and maybe a motrin or two should do the trick. We’ll see tomorrow!

Lower Back / Chest

Today was good and bad, I planned on hitting my traps along with my chest and legs but that never happend. I got caught up chatting it up with some of my buddies and when I finally checked the time I was running late and of course getting cold. The good part was I hit some PR’s today:

DeadLift: 385 X 4 (I could’ve got 5 but I lost my grip) / Bent Barbell Row: 245 X 5

For chest I hit the Hammer Incline Presses finishing off with Four Plates on each side with a pair of quarters , and I finished up with Decline presses on a terrible Decline bench! By time I reached 285 there was no way I could get the bar off the rack without assistance…The way the bech is set the rack is built too far back. I was pissed, I’m not big into asking people for help so I just pressed on… Now I’m about to head out and enjoy a little fam time.

Shoulders/Tris/ Legs

I’m right back on schedule with hitting each body part twice a week! Today I BLASTED my Shoulders/Tris and Legs! I can totally feel myself growing with this type of workout! Even my buddy and fellow personal trainer stopped me in the gym today and noticed my gains! I finished my workout by sitting in the steam room and sauna just taking time to relax and get a piece of mind. Tomorrow is Lower Back/ Chest and Traps…

Happy ThanksGiving

Man oh Man did I EAT today!!!! Well fortunately for me I can’t handel too much food in one sitting but I’d say from 3pm up until now (10:17pm) I’ve been eating nothing but crap and honestly I loved every bit of it! I normally eating as clean as possible but today I had to let loose….Even though there is plenty of food to last us through the weekend I plan on getting back on schedule with my meals! Man, I gotta enjoy these holidays when I can!

Back / Biceps

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

Today I BLASTED my Bi’s!!! My workouts ranged from Spider curls/ Hammer Curls/ Incline curls….Good Lawd it felt great! I didn’t get the full 5reps on my last set for incline curls but it didn’t matter…My Biceps were screaming by the end of the workout! 

My Upperback workout was great as well! I hit some close grip weighted pull ups/ Wide lat pull downs / and str8 are pull downs as well! I’m still pursuing my goal in racking lat pull downs for 5reps…Right now I’m top off at 225 (probably could go heavier). 

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I can’t wait to throw down! I’ll stick to eating regular size meals but I know each meal from 2pm on is going to be off the hook! Oh and I conveniently made tomorrow a cheat day…probably like 99% of Americans who are celebrating tomorrow…

Quads / Chest

Monday, November 20th, 2006

Today I hit quads and chest and boy did I hit them HARD!!! For quads I pumped out 5sets on the leg extension 2plates away from racking it!

I jumped on the leg press and did 5sets of 5 finishing off with 630 (not including the foot pad itself). I kept my feet in close the entire time because I’m working on filling out the outter sweep of my thighs. Unfortunatley I can not go too heavy on leg press because for some odd reason it kills my lower back….I can squat with the best of them but leg presses are my current enemy!

I finished of my legs with barbell lunges—my sets consisted of 135lbs. It wasn’t too heavy for me so I kept lunging until my legs were screaming at me to stop. I did this for all 5sets!

Chest was decent, I used hammer strength wide presses with 4 plates on each side and a pair of quarters (You do the math). It actually felt great! I swear I’m either eating something or taking something that has boosted my strength! Everyday I get a new personal best! It’s almost scary…It may even be my training style but for now I will lift now and ask quesions later…

I did the pec deck for 180lbs squeezing the hell out of my chest! damn it felt good,you know the feeling you feel when you actually squeeze the muscle instead of just going through the motions!

Finally I did some flat bench pullovers; it works your rib cage more than anything but it’s an area that needs to be hit!

Well that was my day, I’m going to finish this baked salmon and hit tha bed!
