New Gym, New Diet, New Me
March 9, 2009This is sort of short but after I lost 35+ lbs last summer I’ve been working out on and off (month on/month off) but now I’m finally determined to hit the gym hard for a straight year.
I’ve upgraded from my apartment’s (lol) gym to my school gym which is great because you can meet a lot of new people and get exposed to more workout equipment which seemed to be a major downfall for me at my apartment’s gym.
I’m doing a clean bulk to 220 lbs. I’m basically looking to have 210 lbs of mostly muscle and low BF % so it’s going to be a long bulk.
But with the new gym/new diet I have a better motivation that seems to be surrounding me. I feel more competitive at the gym to left heavier and do better, not that I really look at it as competitive but more of a self-bettering type hobby but still, it’s nice to find things to help embrace lifting.
In the past 2 weeks I’ve noticed explosive gains with not only workout progress but muscle strength/size. I’m taking in roughly 200g of protein daily without protein shakes (waiting for it to come in the mail
). But I’ve been getting a lot of rest and making sure I’m optimizing muscle recovery.
Anyways, yeah I’m really determined to gain a lot of muscle mass and work as hard as I need to get there.
I don’t **** around at the gym, I do work.
