Another successful leg day, so the healing process is moving right along. Aggravating that I'm not at 100% yet, but apparently bones take a while to heal. It only took me 39 years to figure that out the hard way...

Summary: I tried out Hack squats today and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to do them, though not incredibly heavy. Better than I expected by a long shot, however. The protective shoe doesn't have the grip I expected, though, so while I was able to use a decent weight, I kept the reps slow and safe and did 4 sets to ensure some good quad use for the first time in a very long time. Still can't do Sissy squats, but I did do some quad stretches in between Hacks and Extensions just to get some sort of stretch move in. Hamstrings were the same as earlier this week, but strength was up. I did Leg press calves on a standard leg press with a rounded foot plate rather than the machine I used on Tuesday. MUCH better results, as I was able to get up a bit higher that I expected. Not quite full range, but close to 3/4 reps at least, with minimal foot pain.
