JONATHAN--WEDNESDAY, APR. 4, '12: MORE RECOVERY
Just over a week since "The Incident," which makes it nine days since my last training day. Not fun, but I've been staying as active as possible and even spent a couple of hours hopping around on crutches two days ago with my family on a beautiful spring day. It was even warm enough to get a good sweat going, but aside from bruised hands, I can't convince myself that it was a real workout...
Note: When I can hobble back into the gym my current program will be based on the direct/indirect in http://www.x-workouts.com plus http://www.x-workouts.com/#anchor_upd rotations from that e-book and the NA technique from http://www.x-workouts.com/#anchor_xcen
Summary: The good news is that I was able to limp and hop around this morning without needing my crutches, so I will very likely see if I can drive to the gym tomorrow to train. The bad news is that any exertion up until yesterday caused pain in the broken toes from increased blood pressure, regardless of not using my feet at all. That means it's been over a week since any real weight work. I also need to wear a fairly large and stiff "shoe" to protect the toes from bending, so I'm hoping I can still drive with that on. We'll see if I make it out of the garage, otherwise I'll need to get dropped off.
