JONATHAN--TUESDAY, MAR. 20, '12: DELTS, ARMS, FOREARMS (4X + BEYOND X-REP)
Nothing beats a good night of sleep to get you charged up for a good training session. The 3 hours of sleep I got on Sunday night didn't do me any favors, but I still managed a great leg session yesterday. Two nights in a row of that would've had a bad effect, though, so I was happy to wake up with energy levels stocked back up to 100%...
(Go to our http://www.x-rep.com/xblog.htm for the full training and diet details.)
Note: This current program is based on the direct/indirect in http://www.x-workouts.com plus http://www.x-workouts.com/#anchor_upd rotations from that e-book and intensity techniques from http://www.x-rep.com/xshop.htm#anchor_beyondhttp://www.x-workouts.com/#anchor_xcen
Summary: Delts have been feeling great during and after the workouts, but I'm not seeing the roundness I'd like, so I switched the order around a bit, moving DB uprights to the front and using DB presses as the second excercise. Felt good and the presses were much harder than I expected, but I could feel the delt heads burning, so it was worth the needed weight reduction. Uprights felt good up front, but not great. On Friday I'll start with a few drop sets on Machine laterals for some pre-exhaustion work. Of course, that means that presses will be the third excercise, so I hope my ego can handle the weights I'll be using.
