WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 30, ‘09: BACK, BICEPS, FOREARMS (BASIC XX WORKOUT)

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

Our final workout on the new 3-way-split rotation–Friday will be a repeat of Monday’s workout–and it was a back-to-basics attack for back and biceps, with a forearm finisher…

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 23, ‘09: DELTS, TRICEPS, BICEPS, FOREARMS, CALVES (PUMP)

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

Last workout before peak day, which is Friday, and it was a great workout–vascularity is streaking and every muscle group looks full, most with striations…

(Go to our X Blog for the full training and diet details.)

Note: Our current program is based on the X-traordinary POF X-Rep Workout on pages 37-40 in The X-traordinary X-Rep Workout e-program.

Summary: Sure is nice to see the muscles filling out with a gain in veinage. It’s difficult to get into the light-training pump mind-set, but it’s mandatory for peak weak to top off glycogen stores in all the muscle structures. We’re off tomorrow, so that should be the capper for a perfect landing on Friday.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 22, ‘09: BACK, QUADS, HAMSTRINGS (PUMP)

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

Whoa! Back and quads at the same workout? Yes, but remember it’s lighter pre-ex pump sets, and only a few for each bodypart since it’s peak week…

MONDAY, SEPT. 21, ‘09: CHEST, CALVES, ABS (PUMP)

Monday, September 21st, 2009

Peak week is here, so our workouts are lighter, pump style–although with two low-carb weekend days in a row, pumping was more difficult, even with some pre-exhaustion-style supersets…

FRIDAY, SEPT. 18, ‘09: DELTS, TRICEPS, BICEPS (POWER-DENSITY)

Friday, September 18th, 2009

One week till peak day, so it was another intense straight-set-only workout–except for the negative-accentuated sets with a rest/pause followed by a standard-cadence set; that slow-negative set followed by a regular set should give us microtrauma and density to boost our mass and muscularity…

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 16, ‘09: QUADS, HAMSTRINGS, LOWER BACK (POWER-DENSITY)

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Leg day, but it was all straight sets, other than our new rest/pause NA sequence here and there. Despite no drops or supersets, we still saw new vascularity today, always a good sign…

TUESDAY, SEPT. 15, ‘09: BACK, FOREARMS (POWER-DENSITY)

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

Another X-cellent reduced-volume workout! Fewer sets means more all-out intensity and we amplified that with a new NA sequence for super density…

MONDAY, SEPT. 14, ‘09: CHEST, CALVES, ABS (POWER-DENSITY)

Monday, September 14th, 2009

Our peak day is one week from this Friday, so we’re pulling back on the volume a bit this week; however, intensity is still all out, with lots of X Reps and X-hybrid techniques…
