Our last workout of the year, so we made it a great one. Still seeing lots of vascularity–at our leanest for this time of year in a long time. We attribute that to our experiments with negative-accentuated sets (more microtrauma), with we will cover in our new e-book, The Ultimate Fat-to-Muscle Workout, which will be released this Friday…

We’ve taken a liking to a new preworkout supplement on leg day, as it helps us drive out more growth reps and gives us a big pump in the process. We were very strong today, and we give at least some of the credit to that preworkout powder. More on that in the Diet update below…

We opted for another Power week since there’s another holiday Thursday; that means condensing everything down into three workouts again–Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Today’s workout was good, but we could feel the holiday eating and disruptive schedule taking its toll–we didn’t get weaker, but we didn’t get any stronger either…

We won’t train next Thursday, Friday or the weekend, so that will be four days off in a row. The goal today and Monday thru Wednesday of next week is to trigger enough muscle damage to create a significant depleted state so the latter off days will be a full-on growth environment after recovery is complete. To start the process we introduced a few new exercises today…

Leg press-leg extension supersets dominated today, as Steve has been having a left-hip issue, and he believes it’s being caused by the hack machine. We decided to eliminate hacks today to see if the irritation dissipates…

We were looking forward to today’s workout for two reasons: 1) more experimentation with the Flexsolate grip-free isolation cuffs on back work and 2) extra back and forearm pump from the vasodilator powder GlyProXTS…

It’s been about one month since we shocked it up with supersets. We knew it was going to hurt, but we were ready to deviate from straight sets–and the pump was off the charts…
