Medieval SuperHero Pops Rib….In Her Sleep
Catchy, isn’t it? Yes, I managed to pop my ribs in my sleep (again!) night before last. My Chiropractor loves me!!!!
The ironic part? The night before, I had a dream that I was in England, during the Dark Ages, and was the leader of a band of rebels. My superpower seemed to be that I could ‘freeze’ people :) So I’m running thru the streets and tunnels of London, saving my peeps and I wake up feeling great! (I mean, who wouldn’t, right?)
But the next night, no dream, no superpower….and I roll over an pop a rib!
I rock like that :)
(Hopefully my tales of woe has brightened someones day and caused a chuckle)

So what’s the Medieval superhero’s name? Joan of Freeze? :D
Does the rib pop hurt? I’ve never broken a rib, but I’ve heard it’s extremely painful. Hope popping is different.

What is it about popping ribs? Mine pop frequently, but usually I know when it will happen and get to the chiro b/f the event. Was there this a.m., as the one under my left shoulder blade was starting to go. I have had them pop out while sneezing and once was simply standing up from a chair. And sometimes it is so bad I bruise the lung and others it isn’t as painful. This has gone on for about 30 yrs.

bee: Doesn’t it suck!!?? and I thought I was a freak because its happened twice. How do you know when it’s going to pop???

I wish I could freeze people. My dreams only seem to involve my teeth fallling out. Crazy.

Sounds like your body may be trying to live out your dream while you sleep. If you ever wake up in Old English body armor then I’ll be concerned!

Pinky-winki…(because of your pink blouse). It seems like you have intense dreams. In my dreams I’m ordering ice cream in a mexican restaraunt…but all they bring me are frijoles negros!!! My wife wakes me up and says "the ice cream is in the freezer, now shut up and let me sleep". chicanos estupidos!

Ouch! And it was just a dream? Sounds like you rsn through the streets of London too hard. Anyway, I can feel your pain. It may sound strange, but I too know when one of my ribs is either out or about to come out of line or place, but it hits be behind my shoulder blade. But that is what my chiro tells me it is. Hope you feel better soon.
