Competing against my husband for % of weight lost for 12 weeks.

January 7, 2008

My husband is running a contest at work that starts today. Each person puts in a small fee to enter the contest. The 3 people who lose the highest percentage of weight by the end of 12 weeks wins a percentage of the pot. Me and my husband are having our own contest at home to motivate him during the contest & me at home. We are using the same rules that apply his work. We are not competing for money though. For our at home contest we are competing for the right to choose where we go for our 2nd anniversary.

Of course, I want to win so if anyone has any suggestions for me please let me know. I know we will both be happy with our end results, but the competition makes it interesting.

Today’s Workout

October 30, 2007

I had a great legs workout today. I was only able to do 10 minutes cardio though, which sucked. I was rushed for time because I had to take my son to the dentist. I have been trying to increase the weight that I am lifting. At the beginning, I was doing lighter weights because I was not used to lifting.  might have increased it too much. My arms are sooo sore from yesterday. I can barely lift up my arms.  I know tomorrow I will barely be able to walk. At least I can feel the work I have done in the gym. I am trying to get into lifting a little more, I have been doing cardio pretty consistently through the duration. I know that I can not trully have the body I want if I do not do weight training along with the cardio. I am going to focus on cardio tomorrow along with abs. I want to see more results. Wish me luck.

What do I need to do

October 15, 2007

I have been on the right track for almost two months now. I think I have done pretty well so far. I have lost 16 lbs since I started September 13, 2007. It just seems as if I am not losing the way I should be. I have incorporated much more exercise than I have in the past. I am eating right I have only cheated a hand full of times (as far as deviating from what usually eat). I just want more weight off now. I know I have been told the longer it takes to get the weigh off the longer it will say off, i just is frustrating at times. I keep trying to motivate myself. I have not gone astray yet, I guess I just wanted to voice that I am frustrated. I just need to keep going, get up tomorrow morning, go to the gym, eat right, and keep trying.. huh.
