A post looooong overdue

Gents, thank you all so much for checking in on me.  The past 3 weeks have been murder at work. I was working literally 18-20 hours 6 days a week during this stretch. Needless to say I missed some workouts (did get 3 in a week) and kept my diet pretty clean (not all the time).  Well the storm has passed and I will be back posting regularly.  Thanks again for the messages and comments, it really means a lot

FEB 5 - 8

Terrible.. talk about falling off the wagon… Super Bowl Sunday was a planned cheat.. no big deal. Then Monday-Wednesday I came down with a cold. So I have not worked out had no energy to make food so I fast food it.  When I do that I let myself go. So I ate like shit for 4 days, gained 6 lbs which I am sure is a lot of water but I am not giving up. I am back on track again today. My goals are still reachable and I will not miss them..Hell no.

So there it is…

FEB 4 - Weigh in

Woot!!!!! 269 today. Goodbye 27+ forever!!!!! I feel good I am losing about 2-3 lbs a week. I know I could lose more but I am trying to keep as much muscle as possible. Might not be the most efficient way to lose weight but I think it is just as hard if not harder to add quality muscle. So long story short… on track and hitting my goals!!!! Fells good!

FEB 2 - 3 - Not bad… Terrible Workout

Friday I took a break from the gym. I was crazy busy at work and by the time I looked up it was time to pick up my son.  I did not eat enough calories so I when I was on the road I was starving. So I stopped at a sheetz and had a grilled chicken wrap :-( . Not the best but I know I was well below my calories but need to avoid that in that the future.

Saturday…. So far so  good on diet, but holy sheeet did my workout suck.  Shoulder was in a lot of pain and I had no energy.  I think it has a to do with the low cals yesterday and the absent of carbs in my meal made me sluggish.  Oh well can’t fret too much over this.  Tomorrow is a cheat meal, I am sure I will have Pizza for the Super Bowl but will not drink. Next day I am planning on having some beers is on St. Pattys day :-) .

JAN 31, Feb 1 - Doing Great

Been crazy busy at work the past couple of days and it is going to be this way until the end of March.  However, I will find time to keep my workouts for sure and I have been so far. Diet has been spot on and so has workouts.  I did have a craving for the first time in a long time on Wednesday… I wanted a donut which is weird because I really don’t even eat them often but I resisted and walked away from the box…  Another small win I was at O’Hare airport and it was around dinner time but I was going to wait till I got back home to eat, but of course flight got delayed (it is O’Hare after all) and I passed up eating shit food like McDonald’s , or Chilli’s etc.  Small win but I was proud in the past I would have convinced myself it was ok etc. Cheats are now all planned and I am sticking to the plan. It was either use that for a cheat or wait till the Super Bowl. It was an easy decision.

Official weigh-in is not till Sunday but I took a quick peek yesterday and I was below what I was last week. Which I am really happy about because that was my evening weight which is usually 3-4 lbs more then my morning weight so we will see Sunday morning.
