Evil Evil Cardio
Thursday, May 21st, 2009Random Rant of the day-
I workout at least 6 days a week, and I am on my diet 90% of the time. I was wondering why I was not seeing my weight come off quicker. The answer was simple. Not enough cardio.
On my lifting days I did no cardio and on my non lifting days I did between 30 and 45 minutes. Most times closer to 30. That is simply not enough for my body type. it is (for me anyways) easier to be dedicated to lifting.
For this cycle I am switching it up. I saw an article in M&F and it mentioned breakingup my cardio into segments. So on lifting days I would do two body parts and then 13 minutes of cardio. And repeat that tow more times. On non-lifting days I am doing 15 minutes of cardio and then abs, and I repeat that 3 more times.
Cardio is not really evil it is a necessity. I see no glory in doing cardio. When I lift, I feel a pump, I see the weight I just moved, and there is a moment of immediate satisfaction. The glory in doing cardio comes down the road. I am starting to see the light…..
