Here are the results: 12 MAY Summer Bash
THE APF Summer Bash in Houston was great. I squatted 800, bench 515 (oops), and deadlifted 640. Was going for a 2000 total, but missed my bench so I didn’t get it. Too bad… A good meet with two PR’s, so I can’t complain… Everyone on the team (2 other guys and myself) set at least one state record…

How long have you been in to lifting and what do you think is the biggest key to building strength.

I’ve been lifting weights for about 15 years, but really focusing on powerlifting for the last 3 years. I guess the biggest key to strength is to focus on the big lifts and to be consistent. You’ve got to push heavy weights! Add a light week every 3-4 weeks, too. I can send you a template if you like.
