More To Love????

Just when we wonder why people in our country are so out of shape and unhealthy…here’s a good reson…WE WELCOME IT! I saw a promo last night for some new series about a man who will be given a chance to choose a woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with. No, not the bachelor but a stupid take off from it. It’s called "more to love". In this show this man will have the pleasure of choosing a bride from a field of about 25 full-figured(politically correct) women. Now there are a bunch of women out there that will say that i am shallow by posting this but the whole premise of this show is that these women are fine with being in the condition they are in, unhealthy, lazy, out of shape and they just happen to find a man who will accept them as they are because they love being big beautiful women….I say BULLSH!T!! That’s all America needs is to have a show on that tells people its ok to be this way without having to change because there is a man out there even for a big girl like you. Now how many girls out there that may have wanted to change but probably will change their minds now because of shows like this. Are you kidding? Look i’m not trying to be shallow are insensitive but if being healthy is not a goal in your life, then this is one groom you’re gonna miss out on.

That’s what I would want. To fall head over heels for someone whose inevitable health issues I’d have hump on my back when I should be celebrating my golden years.

I get that love is blind and all that, but I don’t get why somebody would go out and intentionally seek somebody who is less healthy.

Maybe the dude has to be on a good insurance plan to be on the show.

Love is blind but i don’t believe in loving myself to death which is what you got going on with people like this. Name one overweight person that you know of who lived into their golden years…i’ve spotted none

First I would like say I am all for being healthy. That is why I am working out trying to lose this extra weight. But you can’t always tell if someone is healthy by how they look. And just because someone is heavier, I am not going to assume they are lazy. Now I have been on this site for few years and and I really enjoy the inspiring transformationas, but lately it seems that some people on this site think that are better then others beacause they work out. And some of the things people do may make them thin or look healthy but it is not healthy

And I see your point. I’m just saying that we really need to be careful about the messages we send to our youth who arethe ones who are affected the most by this nation’s problem with obesity. I just don’t want them to get the wrong idea about being content with how they are

I happen to agree that the show is poor and in my opion is does promote over weight as being ok. I know there are some bigger people out there that are heavy and still healthy they are just naturally big. But nearly a third of the country now is obese and this is blantly trying to tell people it’s ok however I am not worried about this show going to far in Hollywood fat has tendency to get dropped of the air even if the rest of the country can’t

I totally agree - just when you think they have exhausted reality TV show topics…and it just feeds into the ever growing obesity issue. it’s sad really.
